@unabomberman Any tricker that attends White Lotus, which I do attend, is mostly a martial art fighter. Tricking is martial arts (if you didn't know...), but trust me, they are all mostly raised off of fighting as well.

Excuse me, but no. Studying martial arts is not the same as studying actual "fighting." Fighing is fighting. It plainly shows when watching MMA how actual functionality beats flashyness [sic]. It's just how it goes. If he trained actual fighting he would not be as good as he is at what he does given how mich it demands specialization.

He's a gifted, kickass stuntman who is not a professional, or even middle tier fighter. That's not a bad thing.

@unabomberman Well since you only say that MMA is actual fighting, then so be it. I was actually referring to kung-fu styles of fighting and others such as karate and so on (as well as MMA). But yes, that style of fighting is just straight up fighting. But what I'm talking about includes much more form and technique. So with that said, that's what fight is all about. Strategy. Let's not take it out the definition of what "fighting" really is. But it's all good. Have a nice day.

I'm not saying it to be a dick. I'm saying it b/c the degree of specialization needed to be a "fighter" is different than the degree of specialization is different for some other kind of physical activity.

As I understand it, "fighters" are either professionals or amateurs that participate in full-contact bouts, be it boxing, tae-kwon-do, karate, or whatever. As long as they do full-contact, then they are "fighters." The act of Training a martial art doesn't make you one perse.

@unabomberman Most definitely, I feel you. I'm not saying "tricking" makes you a fighter. I'm saying that Anis was surely involved in martial arts before the tricking began. I mean, I was just training with him the other night at White Lotus. The flexibility for all the ones there "mostly" started in fighting martial arts is what I'm saying. All I can tell you is that "Anis can fight." You can either believe it. Or not.

What I'm saying is that that is not his profession. He has a bunch of specialization in a different career and that is working out well for him. Hypothetically speaking, given the amount of control he displays over his body, he could train something be it dancing, fighting, gymnastics, or whatever, and have a good leg up to build from there, but that would also depend on how old he is and the amount of wear and tear he has on his body. Stunt work is no cake walk.
