@WJJ1968 Beck is a victim of broad generalization. People approach a youtube clip or his show expecting to feel a certain way about him and are surprised when they feel exactly the same way when they're through. At that point, he could say something totally profound, but we'd all miss it. Carlin found if he cursed or made you laugh he could avoid that problem and we'd all get what he was saying. It's all about detachment. Beck cares, and that's really his problem. He doesn't just observe.
