    Rob/Boston

  • Absolutely Brilliant ! Trevor is such a great drummer and of course let's not forget Roy on organ and vocals. One of my favorite bands. Cheers old chap !

  • the drummer is awesome and this video shows it.The Peddlers rule ! Cheerio old chap !

  • i had the pleasure of seeing and meeting them at the sands club whitlay bay. great ! many moons ago now though !

  • All of us here know what an amazing band this was.

I have seen these guys in some basement club in Rotterdam. Must have been around 1974. Got all their records and CD's.

And as Max said: immensely underrated.

  • Just can't get enough of this FANTASTIC (underrated) band.

  • Yesterday I bought an LP of The Peddlers for an euro at a flea market and what a suprise I got when I put it on. Great stuff..I can't believe I'd never heard of them before today and now this amazing video to top it all...Far out, Fab and turned on..Thanks Cheeseford !!

  • these guys were brilliant!

  • For me this is still THE best video on you tube. It fires me up every time I watch it....and I can't stop watching it! MORE! AGAIN! AGAIN!

  • support the thepeddlers.co.uk page

  • That's pure talent plus great teamwork.

  • does anyone know where to get this track on cd ?

  • @JIMMYBUSHIDO there is an earlier (1967) version on the "Live At The Pickwick" LP. See For Miles Records released a double cd in 1998 of "Live At The Pickwick/Three For All" [SEECD 673]. The version in this video is more uptempo

  • @FlipAl68

    cheers mate

    really appreciate your help !

  • just pure absolute class !!!!!!

  • Man it's great to see these guys play live - what incredible jazzers. I was obsessed with their version of Smile at university and used to play it over and over in my car really loud..... :0) Little did I know 10 years later I'd be working as a jazz musician in London! <3

  • Every time i listen to it i have to listen to it 4 times!one for each instrument and one all together! Shit! i'm stuck !i will flag it for spam!

  • there must be more footage!!!!

how to get access to the "top of the pops" archives???

  • JESUS. CHRIST.

  • WOW!!! Amazing Bass

  • This is real talent.... what an energy.... I hope that you wil upload more videos ...

we're a lot of musicians who loves the Peddlers here in Denmark...

  • I love this, feel good music!

  • Hey Roy! This gig is awesome! The drummer is a hero!

  • That Graeme Souness is a great drummer!

  • Roy is the man!

  • Terrific.

  • Trevor Morais was a beast.

  • FU%&IN HELL just made my week, My fave band ever, thanks for putting this on,

You guys were and to me still just the best. trio from hell when they were cooking,

  • One Million per cent class group of all-time. Simon Cowell eat your little crap heart out....

  • Thank you GOD!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Agreed! Trevor Morais can also be heard on Bjork's 'Homogenic'. What an inspirational guy!

  • Trevor Morais is fucking incredible here!!!! Probably the most ferocious jazz waltz played by anyone, anytime, anywhere. And he's doing bonkers stick twirls!!!! These guys are re-uniting in May in New Zealand. Too bad that's about as far away as its possible to be.

  • For me this is the most inspiring clip on you tube.

These guys don't get the credit they deserve - for example I recently enjoyed the film Telstar that has Meek's house band as Clem Cattini, Chas Hodges, Ritchie Blackmore etc but no mention of Roy & Tab.

Great clips like this prevent stunning musicians from being written out of music history.

  • Thats the great Trevor Morais on the drums. . . go to my channel and watch him playing with Bjork on a single snare. . . Hyperballad.

  • ive been playing the drums for 25 years and im gobsmacked by this clip, what a player

  • Magnificent thanks for posting, this video is a national treasure

  • INCREDIBLE!

    oh my god!

    that drummer is the man.

  • Mindblowing! Incredible drumming! It doesn't get any better than this.

  • This to Prove Cowel Is Completely Clueless about Talent

  • Forget the x factor this is real talent

  • @HALIDAYINN yeah its absolutely brilliant trevor morais was a brilliant drummer

  • Once upon a time, It was about the music. The thrill.

This is an example of "the good old days"... Who's this tight and in to it in the 21st century?

  • How cool is cool? Buy the double CD of the same name (their CBS recordings), another double (Live at The Pickwick/ Three for all - recorded for Philips) and The Peddlers Suite London (with the London Philharmonic Orchestra) and you will find out.

They made every track their own, with some of the best intros ever committed to wax.

Cheers so much for putting this on, without u tube this would have been lost.

  • Now that's a real power band!!!!!

  • Absolutely BRILLIANT, wondering if there is some moor footage of this fantastic band. Thanks for dropping this here. I love it.

  • Fantastic Band!

I was lucky enough to see them at "The Talk Of The West" in Cornwall in the 70s.

Lovely to see such talent and enthuesiasm. They're obviously "lovin' it"!

I have several of their CDs which I got on Amazon. All great stuff!

Maybe Roy could play a return in UK. I'd certainly travel to see him again!!

  • @hudson1946 I envy you, wish i had seen them.

  • Yes indeed, these guys really we're just that good...and then some! This's the caliber of music I grew up with. Just try'n find that in today's music...ain't gonna happen! Exelent vid, Exelent song!

  • Roger Whittaker's introduction had to be recorded in a different universe...

  • 20% of viewers don't make it past that intro I'm betting...

  • Love that Hammond and that old groove !! also if you don't know you should check out the acappella version of Take 6 ! They killed it !

  • Fantastic, the first time i can see them live! Great, hgreat, great!!! THANKS

  • Hot,hot,hot!

  • i have all their albums, this is the first time Ive seen video,

    HOLY

    FOOKIN

    SHIIT

    MY GOD

    IS THAT REALLY HAPPENING?

  • Incredible. Stunning. Smokin'. Superlatives fail me.

  • that's right!

  • What a fantastic band this was. Thanks for the video!

  • האורגניסט המדהים הזה דומה למאיר סויסה

  • awesome ! :-P thank you for posting this !

  • For over 35 years now I think this was the greatest band in their field. And I never saw them play!!! Having all their records does not compensate for this. Is there more footage of the band?? I think there must be something of their performance in the 70-ies(?)for the Dutch television program 'Vara's zaterdagavondakkoorden'.

    This music is really great!!!

(By the way, i've never found the Pickwick club in London when I was there).

  • Amazing clip incredible fast bass playing it's surprising that this group were on two major lables (Philips & CBS)but none of them have put their albums out on cd,I'd love to see them now play a smokey cellar jazz club

(fuck the smoking ban)with Vaya Con Dios also on the bill.

  • The person who uploaded is HolomBalam

  • Please, please, please, please, can anyone guide me The Peddlers classic song from 1969 entitled - Birth ???

  • Comment removed

  • watch?v=FZpJfoqGBus

  • 30 years later they still sound brilliant Hugh O'K

  • These were the greatest kick ass trio the 60s ever produced. Who remembers their early Radio One live sessions on daytime shows like the excellent Jimmy Young show. Before the Peddlers and Jimmy were cruelly cut from any of the BBC schedules. From the days when music meant good quality. Who also remembers that Trevor Morais went on to have an hit with Lone ranger by Quantum Jump. Thanks for posting this brilliant video....

  • I first saw these guys live in 1971 and was blown away. As a very young drummer at first I felt like giving up, but then, I found that the way they approached their music inspired me and I worked hard to be like Trevor Morais although I couldnt quite copy his colour, nor indeed, his hairstyle....Thanks guys, for the nusical memories...

Hey Trevor, Im still trying now after all the intervening years....

  • I can't stop watching this!

  • These guys were amazing. Thank you for posting this!

  • Fantastic, I knew there had to be some footage kicking around of this amazing, underrated band. Hope some more surfaces. Roy is an absolute King of the Hammond.

  • yo Roy ; if you're reading this ; you ought to get in touch with Dean , the drummer from the nz rockband Tadpole ; he works at 'the music shop/ or store' in auckland and is a gardener by trade ; he can work on your property in queenstown while your jamming in between coffees so to speak.he'd love to , i'm sure of it.

  • Brilliant. I loved Roys playing. They were so different from a lot of the music that was around. Glad to hear Roy is still playing

  • its not fair why are they so good

  • it not fair why are they so brilliant

  • Excellent, thank you!

  • Damn! I never seen them also. My favorite band, they are incredible, Roy is cool, and Hammond A100 sound is kick me out. Thanks

    Victor

  • I have never seen them live before.

    Thank you very very much!!

  • I have just sent this onto Roy, he is still playing and touring. A stayer you might say.
