  • Hemant da......i sing this song daily....love ur melodious voice

  • Hemant Kumar, a famous Indian singer, had a very rich golden voice that slowly and slowly flowed like honey flows. That was the beauty of his voice. No pressure of any sort but just soft voice that only he had. His was not melancholic voice, as someone has suggested, but his voice was full of life and shone gloriously and glitteringly bright. His was voice so powerful that many of his songs moved a person emotionally inwardly. That was strength his voice had.

  • A very beautiful picturisation of the song .A magnificent composition by Hemant Kumar. Waheeda Rehman as usual looks very pretty in this song. Hemant Kumar has a very rich golden voice that slowly and slowly flows the way honey flows. That was the beauty of his voice..No pressure of any sort but just soft voice which only he had. This voice is not melancholic voice, as someone has suggested, but this voice is full of life and shines gloriously and glitteringly bright.

  • This is a masterpiece. Thanks for uploading. :D

  • awesome voice and very meaningful song.... Loved it <3

  • melodious voice of Hemant, hardly any artist of now can match to. simplcity of vaheeda rehman too adds charm to this song

  • Wow the bengali version is so much better. The song is a master piece. I didn't think the video could get better but just watch it. The bengali version is a masterpiece. The video for this song is a weak because the actors are protrayed in a giddy fashion. In the bengali version there is a longing.

  • Well..the initial whistle in the bengali version is not present where but that whistle was used in Tum Pukar Lo........

  • well being a Bengali I had the pleasure to listen and understand both versions of this song..and even many would not angree with me,,I find this version is little better in terms of music composition..the bengali version had the same charm..but the composition is okay..not a class apart like this..lislten the fluet and the violin, chello ( Bengali version does not have these ) and somehow to me ..the background music take it to a different place..my opinion only.

  • @boiragirules very true.

  • ufff in 1954 bollywood was composing these kind of masterpiece..did we advance at all since?

  • @Blue4fragrance , for ur kind information , the song was composed by Hemantda himself ..not by Khayyam saab..for the movie "kohra".The Bengali version is '"Ei Raat Tomar Amar" from the movie " Deep Jele Jai"

  • A great song.

  • This composition is by Hemata Mukherji, not khayyam. The original song is Bengali and this has been adapted from that.

  • great song.. beautiful depiction of love thru eyes

  • @cute3456 Yes i do agree very rere collection of old Hindi movie...please try also 'BEES SAAL BAAD' MOVIE.....CAN YOU TOLRATE TO SEE AND GET UNDERSTANDING OF STORY.....VISHVAJIT AND WAHIDA.....jzpatelut......

  • the composition is by Hemanta Mukherjee and not Khayyam........

  • Wah ! yay Nayen Daray Daray, what a combination

Voice of Hemant Kumar + Composition of Khayyam & Poetry of Kaifi Azmi = A great song.
