And you have no idea how empowering it is to hear a woman standing up for her birth rights in the face of SO MUCH negativity and resistance from the "professionals" sometimes... Takes guts really, thank you for sharing :)
I think that is a dumb choice. If they refuse to do a natural birth after a C-section then there is a very good reason. Gambling your life and the babies by getting some midwife to do it at home is just stupid
I had an emergency section with my boy almost 10 months ago. It was the last thing I wanted but he needed to get out quick cos he was getting tired and stressed. It is what needed to be done but I would have loved a natural birth. Hopefully I can experience it in the future.
Congrats on ur successful natural birth after c-section. Im planing that on my nxt child birth I was scared but after seeing this vid I cant wait for success. Thxs for the encouragement and helpful vid. :)
Good for you, going with your own instincts and not letting the hospital push you into a decision ( no disrespect to hospital they have their reasons) I'm due 6th march 2012 with my first baby, hopefully naturally thank you for this video it gives me confidence in myself :)
omg tell me about it, its all about money in the birthing arena my c-section was 13 yrs ago yet i came into the same problems u talked about. It took me 2 months of self searching for a dr. that would do natural birth after c-section plus accept my insurance. In the end i had to have a midwife too but i'm happy and i will be having a water birth at home in oct 2011 thank god.
My mum would want me to have a baby (she wants to be a grandma bless her) but I am actually petrified of the whole ''pregnancy thing :((( I feel bad, I don't think I'll ever be as good mum as my mum was :/
@Violka1987 I never thought I could do it either. Honestly, alot of being a mother comes with instinct that you never knew you had until the baby came. Another big part of it is allowing yourself the freedom to try and be the mom YOU want to be. Alot of people say do it this way, you can't do that, that's the way we took care of our kids are you saying we were wrong, ( which is exactly what my inlaws would say to me). I never planned on having any ever, Now I am thinking about having a third.
