  • Stunning car mate. Gettin one myself in June. You should do a video of the accelleration and sound from inside too.

  • Can you give me any more information regarding the ride hight set on this car? (lowering amount) and the size of the HR spaces fitted front and rear? im looking to make these changes myself.

  • @carbonangel1 - sorry for not responding sooner. Car is lowered approx 1.5 inches (with KW V2 coilovers) and is currently running 25mm spacers f/r - in this vid it was on 25 rear, 15 fronts but the look wasn't quite there.

  • lol watch the man and his dog !

  • Currently planning my next car.....Audi tts or s5 both in sprint blue.was going to play sensible and get the tts due to running costs etc but after hearing this....wow!

  • @hdg82 TT-RS man! that stock sounds as good if not better then this...0-60 4.0secs, with launch control 3.6

  • I

    WANNNNNNNNNT

  • At last someone who knows how to drive and thrash a S5,the best video on S5 sound and drivebys

  • @dippadaws - I wouldn't say he knows how to drive so well! He's a little slow on his upshifts...

  • XYNTA

  • @Zigzagmc1 - I couldn't agree more.

  • @blackberryhill

What for it so rumbles? Adds dynamics?

  • i like the body style of this car,i like the taillights especially

  • Is this a full Milltek system or just cat back?

  • @ozmatts5 - hi - it's cat-back only.

  • めちゃくちゃカッコイイ!!

    でも、ガソリンの無駄のような・・・

  • surprised they have yet to fit the S5 with the new 3.0T from the S4. . . .surprised but glad. Cant beat the sound of this V8

  • @jayhawker4149

the only substitute for that wicked v8 should the the 5.2 v10!

  • @jayhawker4149 - good point mate, and rumour has it that the 3.0T will indeed be going into the S5 coupe (as already in the cabriolet) from next model year. It's a fine engine, but as you say, it's the V8 soundtrack which does it for me every time.

  • @jayhawker4149 they made a model in europe called the a5 sportback, which was an a5 with 4 doors and the supercharged 3.0 from the b8 S4.

  • @dreadhead13 - good point - I forgot to mention that the S5 sportback has indeed had the 3.0T since launch. So the writing's definitely on the wall for the coupe - i reckon about a 9-10 month window to order a new one before the V8 goes for good.......

  • @blackberryhill plus apr already has good ecu flashes for that 3.0T bringing it to 270+awhp. more power with better fuel economy, but that v8 sound is just out of hand. tough choice.

  • @dreadhead13 - right again - pretty easy to get 400+ ath the flywheel via APR or MTM, with other offerings no doubt on the way. I have been tempted a number of times by the S5 cabriolet with such an upgrade, but then I fire-up the Coupe and realise I don't want to let it go just yet.....

  • you are sitting and driving on the wrong side

  • @Domnaek - 1) do you know me, or do you just make a habit of trolling around insulting people? 2) The issue of the rev-limiter has been dealt with countless times in previous comments - get someone to help you read them. 3) Now fuck right off, and, if you're only 12, apologies for the language.

  • finally, someone made the 4.2 in the S5 sound like a 4.2

  • Great car, i love the Audi S5

  • Truely luv it. Beautiful sound... Love me sum Audis'....

  • Ok I need to know.

If you but an S5 stock from a dealer, can you have this exhaust system installed? And how much is it?

  • @justinaadu2 - 1) yes, I bought my car new and had the exhaust fitted approx 3 weeks later by a specialist Milltek dealer/tuner. Cost, from memory, was approximately £700 fitted.

  • Sex on wheels!

  • Comment removed

  • when S5 is stock you can elecronicaly change suspension settings. Can you still do it when you lowered your car ?

  • @Neojzx26 - my car wasn't fitted with Drive Select so had regular springs/shocks. With Drive Select/adjustable damper cars, you can fit shortened springs for a lowered ride-height, but not change the dampers.

  • @blackberryhill alright! thx for answering :)

  • @gec2007 - well done!

  • @gec2007 Yeh probably because it grips shit! Like see your caddy in a drag race with that.

  • @gec2007

"i've done better donuts in my '86 caddy"

Huh? Where in the vid does he attempt to do donuts?

  • @gec2007 with cream?

  • everyone gives the rev limiter a nudge here and there, but again and again, gear after gear, on every shift??? its just not that hard, shift man, shift!

  • @toranamunter - I'm slowly coming to grips with the concept of changing gears, so bear with me. I wonder, though, if maybe I was doing it deliberately? Now there's a thought. But thank you anyway.

  • @blackberryhill hahaha :-) well every man needs a hobby :-) Such a bad arse car, with a really nice exhaust on it too. I'm trying to find some good pipes for my RS6, Milltek seems to have the goods in Audi-land! Thanks for doing a proper exhaust demo... too many garage revups on youtube :-)

  • @toranamunter - LOL - we didn't really plan it - a couple of mates said something along the lines of 'that sounds good' and next minute I'd left the pub, returned 5 minutes later with my camera and dragged them round the corner to stand in the cold whilst I plowed up and down. The intention was to banish mechanical sympathy and make as much noise, of whatever description, as I could.

I heard a Milltek-equipped RS6 at the place I had mine fitted - my spine's still tingling - do it man!

  • that the fatory exhaust or is that custom someone please let me know..

  • @mofire9999 - Milltek is a UK company specialising in after-market exhaust sytems for a variety of cars - I have one of theirs.

  • @blackberryhill thanxx i live in states but im getting my audi this year, dont know wat model yeat but the s5 isnt so bad, not alot of people in states/us have audies it is not so popular like in europe but i cant go wrong english and german cars their the freakin best ..but im going to look into that thanxx, thanxx bro...:)

  • just bought suprablur's milltek catbacks on a5oc and gotta say it was your video that pushed me over the edge to get them. i'll bet it'll sound even better in person.

  • @4RINGSS5 - LOL - great to see the various pieces doing the rounds! I'm pleased that i persuaded you to go this route and I guarantee, you won't be disappointed! I look forward to seeing your own vid when the work's done - please give me a nudge if you do get something up? Are you on A5OC as '4RINGSS5'? I'm currently 'joegals'.....

  • @blackberryhill nope i'm 2010S5 on a5oc. figured you're joegals as you have this video in your sig lol. i'll definitely give you a heads up if i get around putting up anything here. cant wait!

  • @4RINGSS5 - oh yes - derrrr!! Cool, get it on the car and let's have a look!

  • sweeeeet!

  • nice

  • Where can i buy this exhaust? How much it cost?

  • @trappato - Where are you based? It's round about £800 in the UK.

  • @blackberryhill

Im from Germany want to buy it too is it the money worth? And how much hp more?

  • one of the best sound of S5 on youtube! may i ask, except the exhaust, do you have anything else install on your car? i also own a 09 s5 fitted with the milltek catback. however, i dont think we have the same sound at all....or maybe its because i hear it from inside of the car?

  • Thanks again linpuopuo - in addition to the exhaust, I fitted KW V2 coilovers, EBC drilled & grooved brake discs, Sportec aluminium pedals, Caractere rear spoiler, K&N airfilter and ECU remap. I doubt that the last two have made that much (if any) difference to the sound - I suspect that what you need to do is 'upgrade' to the non-resonated system, as below. If you don't mind a little increased cabin noise, that should put a smile on your face, and get you noticed ........;-)

  • hi, i love the sound of your s5! i also own a 09 s5 with the milltek exahuast. i went for milltek mainly of the sound from your video. however, my s5 doesnt get the sound like you do on yours. do you have something else install except the milltek catback?

  • @linpuopuo - hi there and thanks for your comments. Do you have the 'non-resonated' version (no silencer on the centre pipe)? I'd originally installed the resonated (quieter) version but I felt that it didn't 'shout' enough, so I went back to have the non-resonated centre section (essentially a straight-through pipe - cost me about £200 fitted and takes about 10 mins) fitted. Very happy with the results.......!

  • @blackberryhill hi, thanks for the fast reply! i do have the non-res version. i wonder why our sounds are so different. however, great sound! your video is one of the reason why i chose milltek.

  • @MrSaoreire - thanks mate - it cost a 'mere' £46k almost 3 years ago - which despite being a hefty chunk of cash, is actually pretty good value, all things considered. And yes, i have enjoyed ownership - so much so that I plan to keep it another year or so - nothing else out there quite floats my boat at present (the RS5 just hasn't done it for me and the M3/C63 are approaching the end of their model life). Let's see........

  • Damn, love the sound!

  • it sounds like chuck norris' thoughts

  • @mrstick73 - that is pretty funny! I actually know what you mean.....

  • @mrstick73 lol1!!!

  • @mrstick73 it sounds like someone who cant shift to save his life

  • @c4nea or they are demonstrating the rev limiter sound. which sounds awesome....

    Jealous bitch!

  • @phantomloita haha how pointless

  • @c4nea - yup, totally!

  • German Cars Power!

PS: U drive on the wrong side:D

  • @ComedyCreed - no - you do!!!! ;-)

  • @blackberryhill Hehe:D

  • Learn to shift

  • @SupaDupaSkata - thanks - I'm trying!

  • @blackberryhill that rev limiter-sound is badass!!THANKS FOR SHIFTING THE WAY IT SHOULD BE MADE WHEN MAKIN VIDEOS FOR YOUTUBE AND NOT RACE!!!!!

  • @vwmaniacs - no problems mate - despite all the driving advice I'm receiving, I was actually trying to present an extreme picture of the exhaust sound with as many pos-and-burbles as I could muster. Some recognised that, some don't, but that's life, eh?

  • Beautiful car, too bad the steering column is on the wrong side ;)

  • holy rev limiter batman!

  • @ND4SPD16Y8 - LOL!

  • @ND4SPD16Y8 hahaah

  • @ND4SPD16Y8 LOL just lol

  • sound like aston martin....AWSM!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @JeerkinLEROii - I know, you're right, sorry, I didn't actually ever pass my driving test but wasn't going to let that stop me getting a decent motor. I'm sorry to have disappointed you. Would you be able to give me lessons?

  • sounds insane

  • he needs to learn how to drive a stick lmao but the car does sound great though

  • love audi but they are so unreliable its horrible to own one. i love them though

  • ...Awesome! Oh and "TheQualityMedia", "Aint got nothing..." is a double negative, actually meaning it has got something, if it "ain't got nothing"! ;)

  • @TheQualityMedia - errr - I didn't think the S5 was intended to compete with the M5? Which is why you're right, it doesn't. It 'aint got nothing on a Ferrari 458 Italia' either.

  • @blackberryhill Not Much Does On A Ferrari 458 Italia Though lol

  • @blackberryhill - lol agreed

  • Comment removed

  • @TheQualityMedia you're comparing a 80 grand car with a 55 grand one.....you might as well throw in Nissan GTR in there too...

  • @TheQualityMedia

In terms of power you're right......

Class and looks it wins hands down!

  • @TheQualityMedia m5 aint got nothing on an rs6 though ?

  • @TheQualityMedia

the m5 is compared with the rs6.

and the m5 fails against the rs6 btw.

  • Boring he dowsnt even do a drift or burnout BUT he has the damn car WE dont have nothing.............

  • At 37 seconds you can hear the camera man "ohh ahh" if you listen carefully. I jizzed just watching this video, seeing it live and up close would make me orgasm out of every single hole in my body.

  • @3laSagna3 - errr - thanks - but maybe just a bit too much info? ;-) The noise you can here is my mate grunting through the exertion of walking around the corner - because he weighs 22 stone and is completely unfit. No jizz involved, I can assure you!

  • @3laSagna3 - actually, spoke to the grunter in question and he confirmed that the exclamation you reference was in fact 'wanker', not doubt prompted by the fact that I had him walking around so much.......

  • i love the pops you get at your redline, of course i wouldnt do it all the time, but still enjoyable every now and then! Im pretty sure the S5 or the RS4 is going to be my next car, unless money plays an issue, then ill have to be happy with a vw GTI for the time being! none the less, this has to be one of my favorite audis yet, besides the E-tron and R8

  • LOL nice however,...you can shift before hitting the rev limiter, It's not that hard, really. They give you to 8200 rpm afterall LOL Nice sound though. Milltek has the best sound for that engine IMO. Nice ride.

  • @rocketcp08 - I kinda knew that but was enjoying taking it to the limit and getting the pops'n'crackles going on. ;-) Incidentally, the S5 is redlined/limited at 7000, not the RS4's 8200, so I've a little less room for manouevre!

  • =( Its to bad audi doesn't make a RWD version of their high performance RS and S class audi's

I just feel like this will always be a track car or a cruiser and nothing more.

Its hard to put side ways, burnouts won't happen and drifting is out of the question.

  • @MEvo19 - I have to agree that a RWD option on some of the S & RS models would be an attractive proposition. Currently considering an M3 to replace the S5 as I miss the 'adjustability' or a good RWD car. That said though, it's horses for courses - permanent 4WD coupled with a reasonably powerful engine delivers a different, and in its own way, satisfying experience. Greasy bends, pulling out of a side road into small gaps in fast moving traffic, snow - no problem!

  • @blackberryhill Yea but almost any 400 horse power sports coupe or sports compact sedan can pull out like an audi even though it has AWD.

For the same price as an S5 and the new RS5 which will be around 80k new.

You can have yourself a CTSV which has over 100 horse power and over 200 torques more.

And it pulls 0-60 in under 4 seconds. Sure the 4 wheel drive system is amazing in curvy back roads and snow, but there are snow tires for that. And if thats not good enough get a beater for the snow.

  • @MEvo19 The R8 is one of the best car out there to power slide and drift next to the XKR and that has AWD. It's all in the torque distribution which is 75% rear bias in the R8, AWD is there to enhance the fun not destroy it. Vote by J Clarkson in the industry standard apex apple test....

  • Should have blipped the throttle on downshifts mate. Excellent video all the same though.

  • I have never heard a such beautiful engine sound like this, in my whole life!

    The best!

  • @Sniperatwork1 & aurevoir14 - thanks chaps - I was quite pleased that it sounded like I hoped it would. The neighbours aren't too pleased but hey........

  • this sounds realll nice =]

  • Would you recommend the resonated or non-resonated. Also, do you think the non-resonated is too loud? I'm looking at exhausts for my Audi TT

  • does this add horsepower? and what color is this?

  • @MrUncomfortableTruth - depends on the exhaust system - generally, a more free-flowing aftermarket exhaust (in conjunction with a sports air-filter) won't add any more than ~5% or so power, unless you remove the cat or replace it with a sports cat in which case gains of 5-10% could be possible. But it all depends on the characteristics of the engine. I changed the exhaust for the looks - and the sound....

    Car is Meteor Grey.

  • is that the meteor gray color?

  • @jotatan23 - Yup!

  • Thanks!

  • LOL, you must have driven some nice pick-up trucks! Seriously though, bit of a dumb comparison. The S5 isn't as much of a driver's car as, say, the M3 but it takes some beating. Would you keep up, even in your truck? ;-)

  • @blackberryhill well thats what i thought too. a pick up truck? unlikely

  • that car really does just sound and look utterly staggering, i am truly in love.

  • I need a cold shower

  • What do you use to clean your ext. I have the phantom black pearl which they put some protection stuff on it. I used the microfibre to dry. It doesn't look good in the sun. Maybe it was the protect stuff which made it like this. Looks like lines in paint in parts and the water spots that show up. Any suggestions?

  • @krellamps; Nothing too special - I use something called 'Auto Balm' by a company called Bilt Hamber. The guy who details the car (that's part of the trick ;-)) recommended it when he first used it on the car and now I swear by it. Bit of a workout to polish off but it goes on whilst the car's still wet and gives a great long-lasting lustre. I top it up every couple of months and use AutoGlym Aqua Wax in between.

  • great vid & top car, just need to win the lottery now :)

  • Picking mine up next week, still undecided which exhaust to go for.

  • this is the best S5 exhaust i've heard thus far!

  • I appreciate the irresponsible nature of this video. Why do an exhaust video any other way.? Too many morons drop a camera behind the rear bumper and let the car idle. This is great!

  • makes me want to trade in my tuned s4 and get one of these tomorrow. Sounds great. Why doesn't the non-res milltek on my s4 crackle like that?

  • Do it! ;-) Maybe yours doesn't sound quite the same because you're sensibly avoiding bouncing it off the rev-limiter. As I would normally do of course - this was all for the benefit of making the video soundtrack as loud and varied as possible!

  • so nice sound

  • Properly done for a sound sound sample.

  • Errr - good for you. Whatever it is you mean.

  • Thanks for your valuable contribution. What do you drive? A Kia?

  • had milltek on my gti. loved the sound. nice car n vid

  • sounds like he is touching the rev limiter all the time lol

  • He was!

  • They should make movies like this

  • I did! ;-) Just need to add another 120 minutes or so and then we'll have box-office gold.......

  • lol, i could watch the S5 all day..

  • great looking car and great sound. congrats !

  • Thanks mate.

  • Idiot. Audi ist abgeleitet von "Audire" und das bedeutet so viel wie "Zuhören", denn der Gründer heisst Horch und so entstand der name. Auto Union ist nochmal was anderes, da hat Audi einfach das Markenzeichen übernommen.

  • 'great car' - thanks. 'that "popping" may sound cool to you" - yeah, it did, thanks again. 'It's really bad for the car' - actually, it's not, not in small doses. 'Obviously ur just a rich idiot who doesn't know how to treat a nice car' - yeah, quite probably - and doesn't that eat you up? Honda Civic's not actually my thing but quite possibly just the sort of car an unpleasant, semi-literate fool like you might aspire to? Have a nice day now - somewhere else.

  • natex46 why does your mum dress you funny you complete and utter cock sucking loach!

  • LOL - +1

  • enjoyed this!

  • Last time I checked, 'DaftGear', my mental health was in fine fettle, enabling me to purchase, run, and drive how I like my car. But thanks for your concern. Now fuck off.

  • its awd dumbass lol, wow

  • dads got one...the only one in trinidad currently (thats where i live).

cars a beast..really rips you back into your seat and sends you sideways with g force around corners...also may i say, its gorgeous...

to any potentials out there, BUY IT!

  • Farking SHIIIIIIFFFFFFTTTTTT!!!!!! Are you *trying* to hit the rev limiter that much???

  • Yup! Good innit?

  • The popping you (and the dealer) are thinking of is when they let off the gas, and it's not "back pressure". The popping within this video is most certainly caused by the rev limiter. It's an instantly recognized sound by anyone with any automotive experience whatsoever.

  • Sorry dude...that's the guy bouncing off the rev limiter. Back pressure doesn't make any noise...it rather restricts sound. You might be confusing it with backfire. Backfire happens during engine over run and gasoline goes into the exhaust manifold and ignites....amazing car...I'm looking to pick one up...can't make up my mind.

  • Love your car man !!!!
