SM is a lot more difficult to handle. their skills aren't mean to be used alone and some of them have hidden values, for example, deep straight, the backwards jump will render you invulnerable for a split second, and the second slash will unbalance your opponent, then hacking stance, the first hit knocks them and the next hits juggles them. my wrists also hurt a lot since the SM moves alot while attacking and you have to look at different directions while comboing.

Yeah... This guy below me is dead wrong. I've played both chars, have both at 40, done amazing amounts of both pvp and pve with both, and have reached one conclusion. Swordsman are easy to PvP with and aren't very desirable for PvE purposes. Mercs are moderately easy to use but perform well both in and out of the arena. To sum it up, mercs take more effort to perform better overall. But, he's right... that SM was pro. Even if the merc wasn't so great.

Stop with the "its not the char!" thingy. Swordmasters aren't easy to handle. If your not good at lock on and combos your good as dead. If you want to atleast a win in pvp even if your not that skillful. Go for Mercs. This moonlord(swordmaster) in this video is a pro.

DN SEA's lvl cap right now are perfect for mercs, wait till it gets to 50 and you merc users are going to cry from moonlords and gladiators. Did you even notice that the barbarian was able to outcombo the moonlord, but the moonlord was able to close or rather have a damage advantage by just hitting the barbarian with a moonlight splitter ex. Nuf said :)
