what do u drive? when i was bone stock, I ran all hr models 06 and 07 alike. the 07 would pull a hair harder than the 06z but the 06 never pulled me once. dig and roll races. me and the 07z were back and forth
the 06's have revup motors. if an 06 and an 07 raced, the 07 would walk away pretty easy. all the 03-06 350z's typically get high 13's stock. maybe a mid 13 if conditions were absolutely perfect. HR 350z's are capable of mid low 13's. they quite commonly get 13.3 in the 1/4. mustang gt's usually get high 13's. also, the HR's trap around 107. mustang gt's trap 103 usually. im sorry but if your stock your not beating a stock HRz unless he sucks. and i drive a 2010 cobalt ss. ive walked a stock gt.

yes I am sure. believe it or not I am a z fanatic even though I own a mustang. both mustang and z people push the envelope and expect to run what they see online. it doesnt work that way. weather cond. altitude, and location all play equal roles in track times. in the south we have heat and humidity which will affect how we run at the track. on the east, they will benefit to the weather cond.
all i know is the HR350z's where im at run considerably faster than mustang gt's unless theyre modded. and a fully boted HR z with a tune will run away from a mustang easy. now the DE z's are a bit slower than the mustangs but theyl keep up pretty good. in my experience i had an HR walk away from me quite easy. as far as a mustang it was stage 2 roush, which is only suspension and cosmetic mods. with an intake. i walked away and beat him by 2 cars from 40 to 140

I would pick the mustang because it responds better to bolt ons than the z. both cars look good too
stock hr 350z is faster than stock mustang of the same year. all the other mustangs are slower than z's. and the new z is faster than the new mustang.
the z has always had the upper hand on the mustang, unless the mustang comes out with the 5.0 motor with 400hp the z will always win.

I agree that the Mustang has a bigger after market than any other muscle car. I like Mustangs but not the 04+ models. If I could get my hands on a cheap 01-04 GT I would not hesitate. I'm not necessarily Pro-Camaro, or Pro-350Z, I just like fast cars period. Whether its a Mustang, Camaro, 350Z, Supra, S2000, Trans Am, ect. As long as it looks good and fast, Thats all I care about.
While you state the Stang and the SS ran 13.5, Their are several variables that take place. First variable is the driver. If a driver improperly drives a car during a race, it can make the different. Second variable is atmospheric conditions (i.e. Weather/Humidity, Time of day, Elevation)

The LS1 Z28's horsepower was extremely underrated. GM lists it as 310 HP but it actually puts out around 330-345 HP. I have raced several Mustangs from different years and never had a problem. The closest race was vs. a modified early 90's 5.0

The Nissan would kill the Mustang around a track, but for pure looks, sound and head turning ability I would have the Mustang. A friend of mine had a 2005 Mustang, and I can tell you that here in the UK, they are a serious headturner.

350Z a head turner....not so saturated as the mustang. the only reason why I say stay away from 03 and 04 is because as any first model productions, there are bugs in it. tire feathering is #1. It can be adjusted but it wasn't completely fixed until 2005 model. that car was simply fantastic though and the exhaust sounds amazing.
Your argument works both ways. American muscle cars have been ragged on by import lovers and vice-versa.
I personally love them both since they both have something to offer. I'm not going to say one's a piece of shit over the other just because others do the same.

Ford Mustang; Any day; and its not just my name. It's because of that V8 heart; there's nothing more beautiful than the raw power and the throaty roar of a V8 at full song. But the 350Z is good. I'm just going off personal preference.

The Nissan would kill the Mustang around a track, but for pure looks, sound and head turning ability I would have the Mustang. A friend of mine had a 2005 Mustang, and I can tell you that here in the UK, they are a serious headturner.

From my perspective..Mustang-Pros:Great power and euphonic engine sound. Cons:Cheap interior, exterior;rubbermaid all over in the car, Steering is very numb;suck at cornering
350Z-Pros: Clean lookin exterior and interior Cons-The car is heavvvvy;somehow it feels sluggish.
Both cars suck. S4 Rules :->.. i own 2006 S4 and those cars are nothing comparing to my 4.2 v8 with 340 horsepower, sexy S4

Mustang hands down, performance wise they are pretty similar but when ur competing against price the mustang gt starts at 25,000 where the 350 z is like 35 to 44 thousand, as much money as ur puttin in a 350 z it might be cheaper just to buy a corvette c6 with 400 hp

350Z a head turner....not so saturated as the mustang. the only reason why I say stay away from 03 and 04 is because as any first model productions, there are bugs in it. tire feathering is #1. It can be adjusted but it wasn't completely fixed until 2005 model. that car was simply fantastic though and the exhaust sounds amazing.

yeah some can be nice to me, and sometimes i would like an old muscle car, but im all for the Japan cars

Your argument works both ways. American muscle cars have been ragged on by import lovers and vice-versa.
I personally love them both since they both have something to offer. I'm not going to say one's a piece of shit over the other just because others do the same.
