  • this is a long ways from a coupe its a 4 door hardtop.

  • Hi, This is my 1960 Chevy Impala Coupe, I received Christmas gift in 1960. I was eight years old,

  • Hi there,

    Song is: Lullabye

Album: Goodies Old Is New: Backseat Romance

    Bye!

  • Center light in back should be white, was a backup light

  • Our next door neighbor, in Norwalk, Ca., had a white 1960 Impala like this one (the 3 tail light configuration told you it was an Impala ~ 2 tail lights was a Bel Air and 1 tail light (on each side) was the Biscane. The 348 (known as a "W" head motor) was originally designed as a Chevy truck engine and from that block the famed 409 Chevy was born ~ dual quads, 425 factory rated H.P. By the beginning of my freshman year (Fall 1961) it was one of strongest street cars around.

  • I grew up in Norwalk, California ~ my high school was in the neighboring community of Santa Fe Springs. Just a few miles N.E. of my school was Whittier Blvd. (in Whittier, Ca.) and on the weekends we cruised Bobs' Big Boy restaurant on Whittier Blvd. I can still remember driving thru the parking lot, over and over and over ~ playing "I Get Around" on my AM radio by the Beach Boys. Some of the best days of my life.

  • My first car was a 1957 Chevy, bought it during the summer between my junior and senior year (1964) at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Springs, California. My dad helped with the purchase ~ had the car until I was drafted (Vietnam) in early 1969. So many stories; crusing, double-dates, triple dates and even (once) a quad-date (8 of us) in my '57! When I got back from the war I bought a brand new 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner ~ orange w/black vinyl top & pistol grip 4-speed.

  • BEAUTIFUL CAR!!!!! I HAD AN IMPALA TOO, BUT IT WAS 1964....I MISS IT SO MUCH!!!!

  • My first car purchased in 1968 for $800 in san jose, ca..big v8, all turquoise, no white, electric windows and seats. I blew the tranny...

  • whats this song called

  • i would love to have one again

  • if u gonna hate.................why click on this muhfuggguh

  • you still selling it?

  • gas-guzzling pice of American shit.

  • Classic American cars and classic rock and roll are the best!

  • @bwild61

    too bloody right!!

  • throw some daytons on there

  • You just can't find a car like this anymore and for sure not with a girl included LOL. I looked for this song though and found in here on youtube. We had loads of the 50's tunes when I was little and I remember this recorded label!

  • American cars of that time are wonderful

  • my dad had one, it was white on white with houndstooth cloth seats, he traded a 56 and the 60 for a new 65 impala, white top blue bottom, one sharp car, but I always loved the 60

  • is these cars quick cause ima buy one for 3g

  • The song playing with this video (for those who want to know) is titled, "Lullabye" by a group called the, "Chevrons" recorded in 1959 on the Brent Label # 7007.

  • My first car in 68 was a 60 Impala, same turquoise color, only no white top. It had tuck and roll uplolstery, electric windows and seats, big V8 gas hog. I blew the tranny on it. Sure I wish I had her now!

  • There aren't many cars that the four door model looks as good (or even better) than their 2 door model but this is one of them. I believe that this 4 door roof line may be shared with some other GM models too. And the rear horizontal wings were sort of a risky design feature when they were introduced to the public, as other cars were going with the big vertical fins when they decided to go the other way. Glad they did!

  • @DougCameraMan You're right the 4-dr Hardtop flat top overhang was interesting & it gave the car a different look. The '60 Chevy was essentially a toned down restrained version of the '59 Chevy. Sales increased & Chevrolet was once again 1st place ahead of Ford. Ford outsold Chevy in 1959.

  • I just flashed back to high school. Thanks

  • the 4 door impala sucks

  • @RiotMaker620

WOW YOUR COLD CANT YOU JUST RESPECT THE BUILD DO EVEN OWN A CAR OR ARE YOU A PORCH MONKEY

  • @RiotMaker620 You crazy bitch

  • a team of highly trained monkeys will be sent to deal with the situation

  • I don't normally care for 4 door cars over their 2 door versions but they did a real nice styling job on this one. I love the flat top roof. They seem to be more rare, too. I would hope that the remaining cars like this are all preserved and restored whenever possible.

  • @DougCameraMan The flat top roof was cool! I had a 1961 Impala 2 door post coupe that had a shorter than 4 door roof. My big brother put a 396 4 speed in it out of his '68 SS 396 Chevelle when he bought a 425hp 427 to go in the Chevllle. Back in those days, all this good stuff was available in any salvage for not too much money.

  • The car is for sale now: 20.000 Euro is the minimum price. Its hard to find a car like this with matchning numb., original 348 big block in this condition in europe! Its your chance! German classic Car Assosiation "Classic Data" has judged this car with "Condition 2". "Condition 1" means a new car!

  • this is a great car how much is it????

  • i have a model car just like that

  • @456789naruto please if you have a pic for impala send it to me .thnak you

  • Im so glad this one never made it to the crushers , Beautiful car thanks for posting it .
