The baritone sax is way off in 0:04 and the singers are coming in different in the beginning, not too nice. Otherwise a nice amateur orchestra!! good job!
Didnt grow up in that era, but really enjoy this song (in the mood), was considering going to the show, but not sure. really like this music and dance though!!!
@Venglishful Which war? yes this is synomnous with WW2 we know that, but it is also a reminder of the wonderful music of those,, for some terrible times. It was'nt propaganda either and was'nt got up as aresponse to war it was in fact the music of the times before the outbreak of WW2. A lot of the youner generation even today appreciate its quality, yes music has moved on and some of it today is wonderful and that too will have to bear the test of time.
i just feel sorry that the good, amazing, from god's music where used, in some how, to war propaganda. but, anyway, amazing talented man this glenn miller.
The "Style" of Heaven will not be like the 1930's. There will be a New Earth....and a New Heaven. And Thy Kingdom.......COME. After the Tribulation....and the Resurrection.......Man will reside here on a Earth, governed by YHWH.
@glenw89 You R kidding right? Tears for fears vs. Glen Miller. I think not. The musical knowledge these cats has can put us all to shame. I dare not "critique" what I can't even play.
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could download this song or buy it at? My pom team is doing a routine to this song and we can't find it anywhere. Thanks:)
What a super video here. All of the dancers are fabulous, looking wonderful and just making you feel so happy and wishing you were with them.
It had to have been a wonderful day when news of the end of the war was sent out across the land. Celebration was the main thing in everyone's minds I am sure and it's fun to see it all happening. I love the big bands' music and "In the Mood" in particular - especially by Glen Miller. The music itself is unforgettable . Thank you for this - Paula
Hmm not a professional big band huh?

"Grandpa's music was cool way better than the hippy shit dad listened to! Look at all the beautiful people."
My folks' music was Swing. Mom's dad was a house musician at Blossom Heath, the Big Band venue in Oklahoma City -- looking pretty on Route 66.
But it was segregated, like the South where so many black musicians who inspired Swing played. No coloreds allowed, except entertainers.
The South was still segregated when the hippy shit put an end to that BS.That was really beautiful.

Why does music suckk now?

@FalconProduktions because no heart and soul is in today's music.....today's music is about making money instead of having fun telling a story.

Well I know what my next project is. I will try to play swing on my cello.
After seeing this it should come naturally. I think seeing the dancing helped because it shows to rhythm and style.
