makarov's do not look like that, clip release, or have those markings. hope ya didn't pay much for it. if you have shot it alot and works fine, good for you. if not, be careful.
Handguards do not look correct, makarov does not have push button mag release, magazine doesnt look correct, you cannot release your slide like that on a makarov, makarov is not marked "9mm" like that, trigger guard doesnt look correct, metal work near end of barrel is not correct, hammer doesnt look correct- I dont think this is a makarov. For those saying its a ppk, I thought ppk was 7.65mm?

Also to those who dont know, Its a VZ-82 a Makarov inspired European police side arm. Commonly called a CZ-82 because of the Czech origins, and contracted to build the pistol. It chambers a 9x18 round and is commonly mistaken for the 9x19 Lugar round. Its basically a modernized Makarov but not a Makarov per say.
As others have said, it is not a Makarov. Just because it says 9x18 Makarov, on the side means nothing. I have six pistols that say 9mm Luger on the side and they aren't Lugers, either.
Its hard to tell from the vid it could be a real Mak but there are so many clones (not surprising considering the mak itself steals some of its design from the ppk) out there you have to expect people to doubt that it is one w/o showing any id marks. Calm down, I hope you dont get this angry all the time. people with bad temperaments should not have firearms.
that is a FEG made in Hungary. I have one almost like it. It is like a walther pp 32 or 380. My FEG is silver and black and is a 9x18. Even though the handle of the gun looks a little bigger than mine, the front of the gun and the decocker are unmistakeable. It is a 9x18 makarov caliber but the pistol is certainly a FEG. Also this could be a 380. I had a blue FEG 380 and it was a nice firearm. 380 and 9x18 FEG magazines are the same.

The Pistolet Makarova (PM) was/are built in Russia, Bulgaria, East Germany and China under Soviet supervision. The magazine, mag release and grip are not compatible with the PM, so it is not a Makarov.
There are many pistols chambered in 9x18mm and I'm familiar with most of them. This pistol I do not recognize, which is why I asked the question.
The magazine release on a Makarov is on the heel of the grip not the frame, and the grip screw is on the back strap of the pistol not the sides. This may be a 9x18 caliber pistol but it is not Makarov.

As others have said, it is not a Makarov. Just because it says 9x18 Makarov, on the side means nothing. I have six pistols that say 9mm Luger on the side and they aren't Lugers, either.

Its hard to tell from the vid it could be a real Mak but there are so many clones (not surprising considering the mak itself steals some of its design from the ppk) out there you have to expect people to doubt that it is one w/o showing any id marks. Calm down, I hope you dont get this angry all the time. people with bad temperaments should not have firearms.

that is a FEG made in Hungary. I have one almost like it. It is like a walther pp 32 or 380. My FEG is silver and black and is a 9x18. Even though the handle of the gun looks a little bigger than mine, the front of the gun and the decocker are unmistakeable. It is a 9x18 makarov caliber but the pistol is certainly a FEG. Also this could be a 380. I had a blue FEG 380 and it was a nice firearm. 380 and 9x18 FEG magazines are the same.

The Pistolet Makarova (PM) was/are built in Russia, Bulgaria, East Germany and China under Soviet supervision. The magazine, mag release and grip are not compatible with the PM, so it is not a Makarov.
There are many pistols chambered in 9x18mm and I'm familiar with most of them. This pistol I do not recognize, which is why I asked the question.
Anyone know the orgin/make of this pistol?

The magazine release on a Makarov is on the heel of the grip not the frame, and the grip screw is on the back strap of the pistol not the sides. This may be a 9x18 caliber pistol but it is not Makarov.
