I hope Im this good one day maybe ill be im only in middle school and were all playing things like fairest of the fair and Cowboy symphony which are grade 3 and 5 songs out of 7 some high schools dont even play grade 5 somgs

You have a unique ability to make the notes all blend together as if you are playing on a one-stringed violin. When you do a fall, it's so smooth; it's not like you are bouncing down the stairs hitting all the partials on the way down.

You talk a lot about bending in some of your other videos. It's really inspiring. You really push the boundaries of trumpet playing =)

My name is spencer and i live in california and am a trumpet student. i play in the community and school and a bunch of honor bands and symphony orchestras and blah. I just thought i should tell you that you're my main contemporary inspiration. I actaully study with the bass player that you played with, Jeremy Coates. I also know Ross McIntrye, I'm not sure if you remember him at all.

As much as everybody looking to break new ground: Not enough. :-) I'll say this, I take WAY more time off than anyone one else I know who plays at the same level. But I'm VERY efficient with my time.

nice! i try to get in 2-3 hours a day but mostly get 2 in. What's it like being at the professional level?

Well my friend, perfectionism is a BITCH. Sometimes I'm really gratified by what comes out of the bell, but that's definitely not always the case. The good thing is it happens much more frequently as time goes on.

When somebody tells they've been listening to my CD every day for months and still can't get enough, and they're really inspired by it, that's gratifying beyond description. As is giving other players the info/guidance they need to find real gratification with their own playing.

O haha. How often would you say that you are touring? Because I am thinking about being a professional musician, it's just I don't know if I am quite good enough or if I would have any time for myself.
