In fact I chose which tuning not for the possibility of playing or to play it easier, I chose to tune the violin the way gives me more possibility for better ornaments.
Yes it is possible to play the Nikriz with the ordinary violin tuning but by changing the tuning to the Arabic gives me more flexibility in using the ornaments (in this piece).

the intro has 18th century polish march music infulences which by the way has gypsy infulences. This music is like marrying slavic marches and maqam music. Overall is like water that color it self through geography as if flows from one region to another. Remember the old days there was no radio or records, geography and travelers was the only thing that made ideas could collide.
The intro is mine, I composed it on the same style of the original melody, the original melody played by the violin, yes the scale is very close to what is called Gypsy scale or minor gypsy that used in Balkan aria and one more thing dont forget how much the Turkish music effected the Balkan and vice versa.
ahmad , i was talking about the piece it self not the piano. I have listened a lot to turkish classics , espcially tanbouri , he was not a purist like tatyos for example. Tanbouri mixed a lot of balkan and slavic marches and maqamize it- if u know what i mean. Also, there is a secret about turkish classical music most of the giants are gypsy, even todays music most of their giants are gypsy, like safia ayla , muazzez ersoy, orhan gencebay, and most of the famous arabesque composers are gypsy.
nonsense.. and the singers are whether giants nor gypsie and please dont speak if you dont have any idea about turkish music. I wonder how many dilettants are here on youtube, uneblievable.

Thank you very much for your nice comment, yes it is really Nikriz but there is another Sirto Nikriz the other one is very famous, the other one is also for Tanburi Cemil Bey, this Sirto is mixed between Nikriz and Acem.
In fact I don't know the real name of this Sirto; I have it as audio among my Turkish collection (Türk Sanat Müziği) and because I'm not sure of the full name I wrote just Sirot.
Thank you very much, please if you are sure let me know because I have it on an old disc and it was written Tanburi Cemil Bey, unfortunately I can't change the title on the video but at least I can change it on the info.
Excellent accurate execution of Tanburi Cemil bey & abdelwahab , why don't you try Hammamizade Ismail Dede Efendi , i wish you lots of success( Helal olsun sana ellerin dert gormesin Amad bey , bol shanslar azizim

You are playing it fantastically! Have you been in Turkey? Because you are playing more like Turkish style than Arabic, which is the one thing that I look for even in Simon Sheheen, I wish he played the Turkish pieces more like the Turkish style.
Thank you very much, in fact yes I have been in Turkey but studying the Classical violin, the reason of I can play the Turkish style is; I use to listen to the Turkish music since when I was child,
And I think the second reason is I'm from Mosul which is close to Turkey; its common in Mosul and Halab that many musicians can play the Turkish style for example Munir and Jamil Bashir.
I listened now to Simon Shaheen he is very good musician but as you said it is very hard for the Arabic musician to play the Turkish style, I've another video in that style it's Shed Araban Samai, please watch it. And if you watch my composition (Cousin's Dance) I mix the Turkish and Arabic styles.
Great sirto and great performance, thank you for your passion of our music...we're waiting for the new performances....
