  • Is that Syd Barret on keys or was he already out of the band at this point?

  • @lupon18 no that is Richard Wright. Barrett participated to the album but left the band before it was published. it is the only non compilation album with Barrett and Gilmour

  • @erplasonier i think he was gone by this point

  • @hippiehippiehoorah1 it's '68. Syd was in Pink Floyd when More Soundtracks out in 1969. i can't find any syd's live video on youtube :/

  • @erplasonier write ""pink floyd astronomy domine"" in Youtube, the first video. Syd was already left when More came out.

  • ECUADOR LOVE PINK FLOYD

  • the short-haired brunette wearing yellow was a babe! damn would i love to be tripping out at that show! david gilmour is being badass as usual! love his playing style in this one, it reminds me a lot of his guitar work in embryo and careful with that axe eugene

  • Mου στιγματισανε τα παιδικα μου χρονια ψυχεδελικα με αποτελεσμα να μην επικοινωνω με κανενανε

  • fuckin beast

  • I know you may get alot of mislead guidance with music nowadays.

but let me direct you to my channel. you like floyd? youll like us. love hendrix? youll love us. Give my channel a chance. trust me youve got nothing to loose and a new great psychedelic band to gain. Promise.

  • LET THERE BE MORE LIGHT is that the despicable slogan of the illuminati´s bohemian grove???? to much coincidence :(.

is also known that this song has too much in common with beatles´s lucy in the sky with diamons ... so who is lucy..lucifer??

  • @cavanddd ...you realize "Illuminatus!" was a comedy, right?

Lucy is either a girl in Julian Lennon's class, or a common name beginning with L, depending on whether you believe John or Paul.

"Much in common"? Pretty sure it's just that one line.

  • @IoEstasCedonta

of course not!. im talking seriously.

i have read too much about this "people"

  • @cavanddd Lysurgic Saur Dietylamide. That is Lucy. But... Interesting food for thought: Lucifer means bringer of light, which could be interpreted as "enlightener", which would mean "teacher" or "Rabbi"... LSD most definitely opens one's eyes to the unknown, so... Each must decide for themself. Once Truth is Known, Innocence is Lost.

    RIP Syd & Rick.

  • @CrazyBear65 that´s what im talking about. lucy is somekind of nickname for lucifer, which means "the one who bring the light", that is why satanists use this slogan. because the seek light not in Jesus but in Lucifer. Im talking about bohemian groove, Illuminauts (founded by adam weisphaut), which name comes from the light of the evil. Also exist this book editorial "lucis trust", which first name was lucifer trust!.

  • @cavanddd Is this a joke or do you seriously believe in such superstitions?

  • @CrazyBear65 that´s what im talking about. lucy is somekind of nickname for lucifer, which means "the one who bring the light", that is why satanists use this slogan. because they seek light not in Jesus but in Lucifer. • @cavanddd Lysurgic Saur Diethylamide. That is who Lucy is.

  • Public are fucking retarded

  • love that bass intro

  • Encore et encore... Réalisation française de Guy Job

  • *Why are they

  • Why is she dancing? You can't dance to Pink Floyd!!

  • @MatheusBond they are not dancing...they are flying !!!

  • @MatheusBond 3 words mate. off her tits

  • epic bassline

  • Far out man!

  • like the Intro of "Taste in man" of Placebo....however muuuuuch better this version :)

  • 3 thoughts -- 1.) thinking of them as a dance band is somewhat jarring! 2.) See? Roger used to actually *play* his bass rather than just using it to hold down the tonic. 3.) I never realized that Dave sang on this! He's doing his best Syd impression. This was nice to see / hear. Thanks hikebikeyak!

  • Many people perferred D.S.O.T.M., I perferred A.S.F.O.S.

  • @Theshark15z both great

  • tribal music with electronic amplification

  • Long before D.S.O.T.M, this is the P.F. that "Acid Heads", were listening to. I can testify to that fact. :)

  • great

  • Outta the way you groupie skanks!

  • LSD Dance

  • 6 people live in the darkness.

  • did they reference lucy in the sky before the beatles

  • @twistedschism716 i think no

  • this might be the best floyd vid on youtube. i wish there was more stuff from this era. such clear picture and sound too!

  • Damnit Richard. Always gotta be shy . Sing a lil louder

  • PINK FLOYD LET THERE BE MORE NIGHT ESAÑOL

  • I like this album more than dark side of the moon...

  • Those were the days. This is MUSIC.

  • Solo los franchutes bailan Pirin pink Floyd....

  • That precision bass is so damn hot! I love this video <3

  • Thank God for youtube honestly...

  • @sovietkazakh Enjoy it while you can my friend, thanks to the soon to be endorsed SOPA act treasures like this will soon be a thing of the past.

  • @Alexm799 Ah...Big Brother.....slowly destroying the ability for people to share intelligent and enlightening material over an easy interface. Combine that with rapid expansion of technology and you've got yourself a real life "Fahrenheit 451" and "Brave New World."

  • Pink Floyd's development is incrdible. So incrdible!

  • thank you so much for uplaoding this video....PINK FLOYD MY GOD....n GOD of ROCK....\m/.....

  • thank you so much for uplaoding this video....PINK FLOYD MY GOD....n GOD of ROCK....\m/...

  • Pink Floyd, the only band I've really loved in my life!!! Why i was born in the fucking 80s?

  • @Frejus87 It doesn't matter. Even though you were born in the 80s, you could enjoy listening to Pink Floyd's songs anyway. I was born in the early 60s in Thailand but I discovered this band in the late 70s. Pink Floyd is alive forever!

  • wish i had a time machine, just imagine, no brainwashing about the possibility of bad trips, no AIDS, great music and crazy people.

  • Love this song. The bass solo at the beginning is flawless.

  • 5 of them are Photo-sensentive

  • Who can dislike a Pink Floyd song? I wonder if it was a poser who only knows DSOTM or The Wall.

  • 42 años no veas... Los Pink Floyd toda una leyenda

  • Le françaises really supports art...

  • This really is an underrated classic.

  • @jordanmacintosh702

Nick Mason may always 'look' high, but I guarantee you he got high less than today's average grade school kid.....

  • @Ghoopty Yeah that's true, Kid's today seem like they have to get high... parents divorcing is common, we are all controlled by technology, and it seems like there is less freedom for them.

  • @Kraviis I dont think its changed so much from the 60/70's .. kid was high then and they high now ...

  • this video proves Roger was / is actually a pretty good bass player....contrary to what we hear from certain others.

  • Man, I would have given my left nut to be there!

  • @rollon59 And then the power of floyd's music would make you grow back another and another and another :D

  • Since i first got into pink floyd in 1992 i never thought there was any footage of them from 67-70 really out there(My fav Era).how wrong i was,it seems that the rest of European television gave them 100% more air time than British TV which is really weird.I'm just glad they did or we couldn't watch amazing stuff like this now!!!

  • @thesyd1975 BBC probably had a lot of footage of them but they wiped or junked most of it.BBC was bad about that.I will never get to see alot of good TV show from the 60's because of that.Lost Forever

  • this is fuckin EPIC

  • In the woods did this song but FLOYD kicks ass since their inception.

  • Good song!

  • so this crowd, they're all on some sort of psychedelics right?

  • Is it me or does Nick Mason ALWAYS look high?

  • Pink Floyd looks human and the people dancing look like robots on a wrong frequency

  • David rocks out on this, awesome.

  • rather different from the album version, sounds very improvised. nice. merci

  • Simply amazing. I love the Floyd stuff that doesn't get radio play.

  • Awesome video!!!!!

  • Gilmour's solo is awesome, love the acid faces.

  • i love the bass in this song to death!

  • lol these crazy dances are funny

  • LES PINK FLOYD!

  • Pink Floyd live are never quite as intense or as inspired as they are in the studio.

  • I just learned this on on bass, great song!

  • @BigMuf3zPi lead bass made contact with the human race at mildenhal thats an raf base in england

  • orgasmic music , orgasmic era , orgasmic clothes , orgasmic ladies (reality beauty and no plastic surgery bullocks)

  • 5 people need more light.

  • This version rocks. The chicks dancing look like they were having fun, too.

  • DAve Gilmour che figo impressionante!

  • beautiful

  • sexy guitar solo...sexy man <3

    gilmour rocks my world :D

why wasn't the guitar solo on the album?

  • Seeing as how I've posted both classical Indian music, and Bluegrass, I'll coninue the variety with some rare old school Pink Floyd!

  • @hikebikeyak Thank you!

  • those people, don't they want to see these old videos to feel some kind of nostalgia,?? they're almost the protagonists with that weird dancing... man, fashion changes.. many people will laugh at us as we do now with these people haaha

  • @Papecode i dont laugh at them theres i didnt see anything wrong with there dancing

  • let there be more LSD!!!!

  • I love the shot of gilmour soloing from about 4:30 to 5:00. the genius of what was about to pour out of him in the coming years after this is so apparent in this short section...fuck..he has soul

  • If I was in the band I would be really annoyed by all that people dancing. I mean, I'm glad they are enjoying the music, but it's Pink Floyd, not some random pop band to dance to, for fuck's sake!

  • Extended intro.

  • es impresionante como circulaba el LSD en esos tiempos jaja...

  • RICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • it's not like this anymore, that people go to a concert to dance and feel. Nowadays, most of people go to concerts to see musicians on stage. Fuck, how many times have i been to a concert and closed my eyes and people shaked me shouting "what the heck you doing?? dont you look at the stage?!" I wonder when this age of appearance will end. 60s ruled.

  • lol waters is just way to cool.

  • Could those dancing people imagine that thousands of people would watch them after 42 years lol

they were witnesses to the bearth of a legend

    god bless them

  • I wish I was there!!!

  • Amazing Opening to an extremely underrated album.

  • @tylenol2k7 very underrated!

  • Psychodelic rock!!!

  • mmmmm G or Gm????

  • @pocketkiller123 i think it's Gm

  • Oh my! I just discovered this song and I FUCKING LOVE IT :D

Pink Floyd never ceases to astound me hehe :]

  • Get in to it ! Its never to late!!!!!!!!

  • @ZeppelinxOfxLed For me all a Saucerful of secrets is soo good album. And this song starts this great longplay

  • god said "let there be light"

    and pink floyd was born

  • @gerrard8dg Amen!

  • @gerrard8dg they were so young and wild......

  • great stuff, one of my favorite songs off of one of my favorite albums....the underrated "A Saucerful of Secrets" Run out and get a copy if you don't have one already.

  • placebo=medicine without active formula xD

  • Placebo play the same intro in Taste in Men :-) 30 years after

  • but placebo is gay.

  • agreed, placebo is for fags

  • this intro beats the studio version

  • that's professionalism, since RIck's mic doesn't seem to work, Waters ends up singing his part

  • While I was watching this, I saw something freaky out of the corner of my eye.

  • look this girl dancing :D

  • oh my god! never heard this song before, i fucking love it! what album is it on?

  • It's off of "A Saucerful of Secrets." Excellent album, it shows the experimental side of Floyd.

  • Eleven years later on the same date, they would release The Wall.

  • Waters' bass intro for this is an overlooked masterpiece of invention. Nothing like it had ever been heard before in 1968. In some ways prefigures modern bass sequencing i.e propellerheads etc.

  • Roger = God
