@MLUVSC4EVER New engine, actually. Piston rings were fried -- not something that can be fixed in a home garage. Parents were sick of my van being in the garage so they paid to have an engine block from a '98 Durango swapped in.
Question: did you disconnect the battery after you did this?
if you didn't, the PCM will still mix the air/fuel mixture for the old heads run like crap, or until it relearns by itself, usally 200 miles or so of driving.
try unhooking the negitive battery cable for 30 seconds and see if the engine will idle then, the worst unhooking the battery would do is require you to reset your radio clock and stations.
I had disconnected the battery to replace one of the connectors....
I've given up on it, I'm just taking it to a shop now. My parents will loan me the money to get the repairs taken care of. They say that the work I've done on their cars makes up for it (Fuel pump on the Savana, starter on the Grand Am.......)
Anything can be done with the right tools.

Has anyone tried the new EZ-EFI system?
It requires no computer, but just a little hand-held programmer.
