ak47's are very destructive because most of the ammo they use are the heavy full metal jacket. I once shot an old truck with an ak, the bullet went through the tailgate through the back of the cab into the firewall into the engine compartment and into the intake manifold destroying it...this would have killed the truck if it were running...in one shot!!so there is no doubt in my mind that it could take down a helicopter.
