I would say just read the instructions. You forgot the important part of tightening the entry receiver extension with an AR armors wrench. Not going to get that tight enough by hand. You might want to edit that in
Help I'm new to assort and I got a buffer tube That I need to twist on to my gun but there is a cap at the end that blocks the threads how do I get it off
Can I use my single tactical sling mount with this stock? I like the stock and would buy one, only if I can use my sling on my mount. OK Thanks and your video was great and very informative. Thanks again Artgtr
hey i got a mesa tactical high-tube stock kit, and i want to install a ubr stock. i know this may seem like a noobish question but is the detent spring important for the assembly? or will it just go on any AR15 based receiver?
In my personal opinion these are great for heavier uppers. I'm currently using one on my 'compact dmr' type noveske ss 16 middy and it balances really well with the heavy barrel.
I would also like to see this general idea used on the cav-15 (for whoever buys the rights to them that is)
My only reservation to buying one of these for my AR is that it looks heavy. How has it been using this badboy? I love my CTR to death, but with my bushy beard I am looking for something that might not rip my face off in operation. Great video and any comment is appreciated, PackPractical! I pray GOD bless you and yours.
the video review is great but for the love of all things "hole-y" we can't see things on a dark item if you don't have sufficient lighting. angle-ing the item helps but not enough; a light source behind or to the side of the camera helps tons.
Geez I'm starting to feel that the BRD is slowing coming on to me. I just got a stag M3L on layaway with magpul front/rear MBUS. Now I have a YHM specter FF handguard and lo-pro GB coming in on monday. Now I want 5 pmags and a AFG.... now I want to change my stock :P...need to win the lottery.
What was on the bolt release that extended down to the trigger guard? It looked like a magpul BAD for southpaws, and being left-handed myself, I'm very interested if such a device exists.
Whats the QD swivel? I just bought a ASAP and UBR yesterday and it was a bit of a rude surprise when i was installing them and found out the ASAP wont work with it...
you cant use the ASAP on the UBR, it uses the A2 style mounting. ASAP requires the castle nut style of installation. But you can put a QD swivel and attach an ASAP to that
Nice. Thanks for the video. These are quite a bit easier to install than the Magpul M93 series. I'm looking forward to the arrival of my FDE one this week.
@PackPractical i think he meant for airsoft guns cuz magpul makes airsoft products as well so he probably mistakened this video for airsoft guns insted of the real thing.
I miss the pre-production run that came in the box in the video. I just got some of the new production ones and the texture is a little different. more resembling the pmags. still good though.
also, the new production UBRs don't come with the extra cheek piece incase you wanted to use the sleeker one :p.
UBR is an extremely heavy duty tight stock. Balances out a Colt hbar perfectly. However, the ACS is half the weight for my light Bushmaster. The cheek rest on the ACS is perfect!!!! I highly recommend both of these stocks.
when i see guns fired with this stock and with the massadas/ ACRs with this stock if u look carefully it looks like it rocks because of the gap and the stock being attached below the buffer tube i maybe wrong i love the stock and magpul :) just my two pence
i didnt mean it like that i ment the rifle its installed on rotates on the axis of the end of the buffer tube when the stock is retracted its just a thought from what i have seen when firing im sure the stockis rock solid and looksthe nutts
No, no. There is a nub that locks the UBR tube (keeping it prefectly straight with the receiver) and prevents canting of the stock. Don't worry, magpul doesn't make crap.
hi my buffertube on my m4 got unscrewed today when i was airsofting o have a regular m4 le stock and a regular m4 buffertube would this help me with putting back my bufferube
sigh...this is real steel not airsoft but i'll tell you anyway. At the end of your buffer should be this cap thing.
1. remove your stock
2. unscrew the hex screw @ the bottom of the buffer tube
3. take off the cap
4 inside the buffer tube there should be a cross screw. So you just tighten that screw and ur buffer tube should be tight again.(make sure you have a LONG screw driver)
Just about ALL online stores are on back order because they are in such high demand with obama in office. I recommend visiting local gun stores or go to gun shows. I bought mine 2 weeks at my local guns how. Another local gun store I saw had a nice stock pile of non windows for $25.
to the best of my knowledge you will need to use the buffer tube that comes with it because it has a threaded hole on the end of it to attach the main tube on. I could be wrong though. I can check when I get home tonight and let you know.
I would say just read the instructions. You forgot the important part of tightening the entry receiver extension with an AR armors wrench. Not going to get that tight enough by hand. You might want to edit that in

Can someone expalin why this piece of plastic is $265?
Antiworld23 1 year ago
@Antiworld23 The quality of polymer, the consistent cheekweld, the sleek smooth lines of the stock, the excellent customer support Magpul has.
This is why its worth $265.
