what i did too get an invitation: knock the door and he will tell you something like "go away". Knock the door a lot of times and he´ll will get pissed and tell you to get an invitation. Once you do that go to your town and the residents mey soon give you the invitation

Another way is: sometimes (if you are mamber) redd gives you an invitation for you to give it to somebody. SO if YOU have friends on wi-fi, ask them too send you one.

Some of Redd's paintings aren't fake most of the time they are though. But you can rarely find paintings in Nook's I bought one from Nook's and it wasn't fake

some of his paintings can be real or fake, and people are trying to figure out a way to tell the fakes from the real. so far the thought bubble above redd's head is proven to not be useful for telling a fake from a real.

now mostly i have only gotten 3 fake paintings so far from him out of the 10-11 that i bought from him. others peoples odd's would differ but so far i haven't really gotten many fakes from him.

if i remember correctly when your neighbor asks you if you heard of his shop then i believe your suppose to answer no, instead of yes. i'm pretty sure it was no because i answered no and got the invite when i was trying to get into redd's shop.

go to the city and go left. Their is a door by some boxes. Try to go in and you'll be told you need a invitation. Sometime after that a random villager who is a member will send you a invitation in the mail. Hope that helps! :)

what i do for rare things (triforce,arwing,master sword etc.) is i take my guy from wild world and upload him from my ds and so i have catalog from ds version. i got the arwing FAIR. nd for the master sword and triforce i used my action replay. now since i have those items on wild world your wild world character in city folk has the same catalog!! now just to get 10,000 bells for the triforce and i got the master sword for either 2000 somethin or 7000 somethin, i dont remember...
