  • PT Barnum hadnt got shit on Alice-A truly great showman

  • has7a decaden7e alice es Grande.. !

  • Wow. Just...wow!

  • Most disturbing version he's ever done.

  • This is soooooooooooooooooo awesome!

  • Its sad, but no one has been able to touch Alice in almost 40 years. This is sheer bloody genius. Alice is still more influencial and terrifying than anyone who has come along since.

Absolute, undeniable, brilliance. THIS is what is missing from live shows; Imagination, originality, and genius.

No-one is worthy. Alice will ever be touched.

  • Now this is the scary version !!!!

I love the way he sing's and perform here !!!

It scare's me, to see him freak out on stage like that,.... he's pure and a god !

    love alice !!!

  • its stevens dad

  • Damn one the best preformances of this song by face!

  • is this released anywhere??whats the name of the dvd?

  • @morbid666100 This is one of his old songs. check greatest hits or love it death maybe. Peace

  • @maindrag yeah bro..love the coop.but meaning where can the dvd be purchased at?any ideas??

  • was this during the Nightmare Tour?

  • @ministercreek WAs during the Madhouse Rock Tour 1978 / 79

  • Coop for president !

  • This just might be Alice Coopers most chilling song . Mental illness is a scary disease and nothing is black and white and I think he covers that aspect well in this song . Great song ......Thanks for posting .

  • I remember when i was really little and me and my dad always used to listen to Alice Cooper in the car. I don't think kids my age listen to him that much. He inspires me too much!

  • fuck off

  • christ almighty has alice been on the helium ?

  • Good on ya. Last movie most people saw was "Finding Nemo" Anyone have clips of gibbering Renfield?

  • Anyone know the Renfield connection? Besides me? and Alice

  • @Haileysgramma Good to know someone else besides me knew that about Frye....quite the talented guy......Flys, anyone? ;))

  • and Dwight had creepy crazy eyes.. great acting I hope !

  • @Haileysgramma

Dwight Frye played Renfield in the 1931 Dracula.

    Flies Master...fat juicy flies!

  • What do you take us for?!

  • The gorgeous woman at the beginning is his wife.

  • Fine vocals are not what this called for. Alice rules

  • i bet he would sing that song better today. sounds like he had a full background vocal section with him on this tour to make up for the fact that the vocals weren't solid. still though, good performance.

  • One of the greatest songs ever written

  • @thadbrains

Alice had a lot of great songs. Considering how insane his live show was, his music was even better. He has never been matched.

  • the witching hour is near... time to crank up cooper

  • HE SHOULD QUIT ???? NO

  • Damn! What an intense performance. Alice is incredible live. Love it!

  • This is a chaotic performance of the song lol. Awesome

  • DUUDE hes the shiz XDDDDDDDDDDD <333

  • One of the greats. Met him in '75 and again in '77. He was dressed as a cop the first time (it was backstage at the Rock Awards) - I had just been to the old set of the show Adam-12, so I gave him the souvenir Adam-12 tie tac I'd received from the studio. He immediately put it on. I was so thrilled! Hey, gimme a break! I was only 14! THANKS for sharing this classic Coop!

  • Seeing Alice is always like a family reunion for me.

  • merci Fernando, on l'avait presque oublié en France

  • This is always my favourite part of the concert. There is NOBODY who can come close to the show this man puts on.

His quality has not slipped at all in the 30 years I've been going to the gigs.

  • brilliant!!!!!!!! thanks for posting

  • Your welcome! thanks for comment!!

  • Yay, I thought this had been taken down :-)

  • Where is this from?

  • The Madhouse Rock Tour, in 1979

(the tour that supported "From The Inside")

  • damn, Cooper really gets into it here lol

  • this song is so fuckin' awesome!

  • he really look sick in this video, and sounds sick :D

  • He's wasted. He was always drunk on stage back in the day but I'd say he's blow-out here.Never-the-less,he's an amazin performer.

  • This is the "From The Inside" tour. He had just got out of rehab for his drinking. He's actually sober in this performance. His drinking didn't catch up again until the early 80's and then he stopped again in 85. This is 1979, a year after he got out of rehab.

  • Interesting, thanks for the info.Either way,he was an amazing performer back in the day.I dont really care for anything he's done in the past 25yrs.

  • You're welcome. Yes, he was.

  • Damn, Alice is amazing in this version !

  • cm cazzo era ridotto?

  • Dwight Frye- an amazing actor who died before his time, famous for playing the lunatics in horror movies.

    A simply awesome song

  • Yup, that's a nice tribute to the typical character Dwight played. He played Renfield in a Dracula movie, and he was incredible !!

The way the song is played here fits the character perfectly !!

  • After having spent 5 months in a psyche ward, I can tell you, he is quite authentic, and I will copy his style when I sing this in karaoke. It will of course be a stretch physically, since depressed people barely move and this calls for constant motion.

  • If you are ever in a situation where the Cops try to drag you to a mental institute, put your hands around their neck and strtangle them. Claim you were protecting yourself.

  • Yep, saw him 2! He's the best!

  • I saw Alice in his prime, in the reary 70's,

he was great then, and he is still great.

    Love it to death!

  • he looked qiuet mad there

  • I feel like that on my job sometimes.

  • what tour is this? Contrictor?

  • Noooooooooo!!! "From The Inside" (1978 or 79) He didn't look that ill in 1986.

  • his voice sounded meak on this tour

  • yeah acrimensor! jajaja

  • I can't what for all you punks to judge yourselves after 20+ years and say you've done better.

  • He's really into it on this version. Maybe he is actually on something or just experimenting.

  • Wanna the coolest things i've seen in ages!

  • Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

  • His voice is weird here. But he can sing if he just wants to. His singing in most of the AC songs is full of attitude.

  • Alice has his own unique style and voice, saying he could never sing is a bit rude i think.

  • This is when he didn't seperate himself yet.The best is here now.

  • He sounds like he's sick in this version....

  • i loved the way his voice sounded on the song "serious" live. but why does he sing it all choppy and outta breath when it couldve been alot better.

  • "Serious" if you mean the TV special video for some reason I think that's either "lip synced" or he just put on a good performance for the cameras.

"but why does he sing it all choppy and outta breath"

It's been speculated he is ill, ironically from going sober. He is EXTREMELY skinny here.

  • yea, he is verrrry skinny here, but I dont think he was lip syncing the song "serious" in that other video. and yea I've seen people saying he was ill so maybe thats it.

  • This was due to his alcohol abuse.

  • Kinda. He sang fine on the album and this is after he got out of rehab. However, I think maybe his body went into shock from quitting the alcohol so suddenly.

  • We go thru hell quitting drinking. Many of us hallucinate. A friend of mine was detoxing and thought Alice was chasing her. Years later, I told it probably really did happen and he was just trying to get you to the hospital before you coded. She's still sober too today, TG!

  • his singing may suck in this vid but it adds so much more to the act of the ballad =) awesome

  • i totally agree

  • ALICE FOR FREAKIN' EVER!

  • dude he sounds HORRIBLE in this performance

  • Alice Kick Ass

  • any Cooper video is to be treasured, even a recording with a weak vocal like this one. If you want to see (and hear) a better rendition of this classic, just watch his 'Trashes the World' dvd, it's awesome.

  • Drunk, sober...Does not matter this video rocks!

  • Like a lot of videos of this genre, it can't capture the full experience of seeing it live. I kinda miss the guillotine!

  • "I kinda miss the guillotine!"

Still does it in the live shows.

  • Alice Cooper = The Shit

  • OMG! Ty, ty for posting this video!

  • My God... Alice kicks so much ass it's not even funny.

  • awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome

  • Oh my god. How great is that when Alice all of a sudden starts strangling the camera man.

  • Morons. This is what is called a performance. This aint a Kelly Clarkson studio track. You're not going to get the album version when you see him live, you're going to get something totally wicked and weird and we like it that way.

  • They are referring to the fact that Alice is physically ill in this video and his voice WAS different on this tour. It was out of breath and weak.

  • He looks like a Holocaust victim because he just got out of rehab (in a actual Mental Asylum). This whole tour was based on his experiences in the madhouse, that's why he seems a lot more twitchy/spastic crazy than his usual just plain evil.

  • the first time i saw the coop was in '96, and it's very strange because sometimes this sounds like him and sometimes it doesn't. But then again like I said I never heard him live before '96. It probably is him though, and this is by the far the creepiest I've ever seen Alice.

  • it doesnt sound like alice ive been 2 one of his concerts it was awsome but then again when i saw him was in 2006 so his voice could have been diffrent

  • different ways of singing. thats all

    same voice

  • Alice WAS ill on this tour, his singing was suffering from it. He's out of breath and his voice is weak on this tour in most cases.

  • wonderful song!my favourite from Alice

  • yes this is definantly alice he was liek always drunk in the 70s so ya he was kinda weird onstage

  • Not drunk in this video. This was the "From the Inside" tour after he got out of rehab.

  • I love him

  • yea this was just before his "different" phase in the begining of the 80's. which i was not a huge fan of but i love alice.

  • yeah, it is Alice, the stuttering and moving is part of the show for the song, if you knew his concerts you would know that

  • I love that song but why does he move so much and stutter? xD

  • It isnt Alice Cooper

  • yes it is

  • It most definitely is Alice Cooper! That tour his singing style was more of spoken style (don't know why) and strange. But that is certainly him.

  • Sorry guys...at the time I had been watching a lot of cover bands. Hadn't really looked into this time period of Alice and commented before really thinking about it. Again, my apologies.
