I don't know if they cut this scene because it might "undermine" the documentary - it's hardly a secret that some scientists are actively seeking to extend the human lifespan, perhaps indefinitely. But will that solve our problems? Eventually even the sun will burn out, and given how our lives seem to pass more swiftly as we get older, who's to say a thousand years of life wouldn't go by in a flash? Lol, my "deep thoughts", take them or leave them...
This is the Dracula Syndrome. If you become immortal you may just get bored with life. After you conquer death you conquer fear and thus start to become inhuman. Fear is the final frontier that holds everything apart. It is like resistance in an electric circuits , as electrical engineers we are constantly trying to rid ourselves of resistence, yet without it we fail to have any voltage.
hmm.. alot of older people I know have come to terms with death and feel harmonious toward it. I personally hate death and will fight it ruthlessly to my last breath.

It just had nothing to do with TMT, interesting, but not essential to the film... Just my opinion though...

I'm guessing they deleted this scene because it mentions stem cells and the use of science to conquer death.
