First of all, the cost for the Iraq War was never on Bush's books, and it is now on Obama's books, so that skews te numbers. Secondly, Obama's cost is due to having to clean up the mess that Bush created. Thirdly, please go look at the Gramm-Leach Act (pushed through by Repubs), which repealed the Glass Steagall Act and allowed for DEREGULATION, and allowed the banks to play around with security-backed instruments, which is actually the main reasons behind the mortgage issues.
