Man, look at the size of that wolf lol. Labradors aren't exactly small dogs. I don't know how big this one is, but I know that they can grow anywhere from 60 to 100+ lbs. I would say she looks pretty average. But in comparison with that wolf... Oh my god lol. Really cool video.
Only a matter of time before it turns on you. It would probably be best to let it out in the wild before it starts getting aggressive.
Wolves are wild animals, no matter what training you give them, and it should stay that way, your only harming yourself and the Wolve when you keep him as a pet. Stick to your doggies, their docile and cute due man's hard work.
@Gextiv It would die if he did that, he is better off caring for it like he has been. Learn your facts before you post. I have owned wolves and wolf hybrids, all have been sweet and kind.
@Gextiv Wolves are pack animals and behave as such. They follow the leadership of other wolves in their pack and learn from them, doing as they do. Pack mentality is the code that wolves live by.
These wolves have grown up with the lab, and see themselves as one by nature. These wolves are under the impression that they are like the dog, and act as such.
They may have a different diet, and be wolves on the exterior, but they are dogs at heart.
@MrVideosphere Wolves are still very different then dogs. Their brains are different. More prone toward aggression, just like certain fighting dogs. They can be trained and be very good pets, but you still have to give them special care and training. If you didn't it would just be irresponsible.
Wolves are quite alot bigger then the average dog, I never knew that! Thanks for this video. Were you not abit worried the wolf would flip and sort of shit all over your dogs? Or am I missing the point that the wolf is tamed?
I'd like to know what that person means by "can not be handled like a dog"?
We have two year old wolves, siblings and a five month old. They are smarter than dogs, better. I'll never own another just dog canine breed. I trust them more. ;-)
@littlebear1963 Hmm.. why not? People rear wolves instead of dogs since long long ago in China, too bad the Gov banned it, well i mean it's good to save the remaining population, bad cus we cant hv it.
@littlebear1963 obvieously it cannot. But it dosent stop it from being able to play around with dogs, they are closely related yet they do need diffrent aproaches, the wolf will never have the same kind of bond with a human as a dog can.
@TheForgottenBlackMan if we are talking about a pure bred wolf then id say that it isint a family pet, best if you had a large garden for it to run about and a place outside where it could sleep, it needs alot of exercising and they eat much less than the normal dog does, also if you would have acces to food like wild rabbit or that sort of mean (can get it through local hunters) it owuld be ideal if you want to raise a animal which acts like a wolf but is a great friend of a human,
@TheForgottenBlackMan its also essential that it is treated from the age of a little puppy, and you need to teach it to (fight) that normally comes when you playfight your dog, but it can strike at the instincts of the animal which would cause it to harm you, you need to take great caution and remember that a wolf is a animal which lives in a pack if you gain its trust it will treat you like its brother and will expect to be with you all the time and help you with everything

@Gextiv yeah cuz a hand raised wolf can survive in the wild.... --_--

@Gextiv That's not necessarily true. We could talk about natural vs unnatural but controlling a wolf is a lot easier than most other animals.

A dog is a true pet.
A Wolf belongs in the wild.
Fact.

@Gextiv : Your dead wrong.

@nickacil
Both dogs and Wolves have different mentalities. Enough differences that set the two apart.
You can make a dog a guard dog, but you can't do the same for a Wolf.
You can feed a dog Dog Chow, but a wolf must eat meat instead.
Decades and decades of selective mating have set dogs apart from mere Wild Wolfs.
A wolf is a wild animal to the very core, you can't change that.
