The RD-700 has weighted, ivory like keys that feel like your playing a Steinway. The RD-300 has the standard plastic keys - that in itself is a huge difference.
@effortsatreading the rolands just dont feel real to me i've been playong for many years and yamaha has the edge the cp 1 and cp 5 are the best stage pianos out there now you will make a big mistake by choosing roland
If you're going to use profanity, at least know your facts. According to the Roland site, there is a difference. RD700GX has "Ivory Feel keyboard with Escapement" not present on the RD30GX. The different action is one reason the 300 is lighter (to carry).
slickluw88 no it doesnt, i own a 300gx and ive also played a 700gx, there isnt really a noticable difference in feel and sound for the extra money between the two models. I'm totally satisifed with the 300GX its the best stage piano out there at the mo..
The sounds are all outstanding, except the brass and some of the strings. Also, there is only one bass sound that, according to me, is appropriate for jazz. The other basses are more for funk/pop.
I own one and maybe I can be a little bit useful to you. It is the perfect piano for gigs and live performance. It is light, the controls are intuitive and fast, and the piano sounds are outstanding. I even like the keyboard more than most yamaha hammer-actions (I am a pianist). However, it has no workstation gadgets. The bass sounds are very "popular" and funk and not very appropriate for jazz, not like all the other sounds, which are all great and in great number.
Hi, I thought it would be possible to record directly to the USB Memory is this possible?

Bad video. Very nice playing. Is this as heavy as a RD300s (which weighs as much as a pregnant elephant)?
trap0001 3 years ago
