@magician226 I don't think so cos Chinese leaders made sure it belongs to China by not just making 1984 treaty but also made a law that forbids any break aways from China (after Taiwan threatened independence from mainland China some years back). That law still in active today.

We are facing the same threat here in Scotland UK from Scottish nationalists who want to break away. Hopefully people will realise that our current arrangement is best. Also as bad as the communists are, I think it was decent of them to leave Hong Kongers with symbols of HK, such as the statue of Queen Victoria in Victoria park. I owuld have thought they would have tried to erase these parts of HK history.

Sadly, mostly no. Some coins still have Her Majestys image embedded on them but not many. I, and most true Hong Kongers, miss those days when the Union Jack and the Queen's image where proudly displayed everywhere. Things were so much better then. I hate when I visit and see the bleeding communist flag. Plus, English here has gotten worse! It just proves that things have changed even if some delusional people refuse to see the doomed path that the communists are bringing.
