  • I always wanted one in high school-but my budget got me a Pontiac. And my parents refused to put out any extra money for "something that would get me in trouble...".

  • These Looked Nice, But Suffered From Common transmission failures...These Blazers SUCKED!

  • These were JUNK, Aunt and Uncle bought one new in 88, EVERYTHING Went BAD! Nice Lookiing but These were junk! Transmissions were Always bad to!

  • got a 98 blazer. Over 150k miles and still goin strong

  • @NotPhysicallyPossibl I had a 85 with 2.8v6 that ran for 350,000 miles. Yes the 700R4 transmissions had problems but the rest of the vehicle was pretty good. They were under powered until GM put the 4.3's in it. These were great little trucks! Keep yours going as long as you can!

  • the transmission on the 1983-1994 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

    Transmission

    700R4/4L60 (1983-1992)

    4L60E (1993-1994)

  • That's so funny, my blazer looks exactly like that same year and all.

  • when i was little, it was winter, a bad winter (living in new york) every body was stuck, we just started it up and left we reversed out the drive way (upwards) and drove down the street in a couple feet of snow (before the plows came) the truck was an 86, and it was beast! im 15 now lookin for a vehical, cant would love to get a chevy

  • @296jayce Love mine!

  • i still cant afford it:(

  • @Decepticon313 why would i get a car that i would need to Fix Or Repair Daily or Find On the Road Dead? Bad idea im sticking to the good old chevy. my dad drove a chevy and so did his.

  • I had an 88 S-10 Blazer same color and everything as the one in the commercial. I've always been more of a ford person, but I beat on that thing for 8 years driving it on logging roads and places where a vehicle shouldn't go. I put patches over patches on the body, and when I couldn't patch it anymore I regretably junked it. The motor and tranny were still good with 285,000 on them. Other than a few minor things, it was a damn good vehicle.

  • the 1983-1994 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer was assembled in

    Linden, New Jersey

    Shreveport, Louisiana

    Pontiac, Michigan

    Moraine, Ohio

    Caracas, Venezuela

  • my dad had one of these, but then it died early, so we bought an explorer afterwards :) and then an f-150. both still running strong!

  • j'adore i love

  • I'm 14 and this truck is 8 years older then me, but this is MY truck. my father said he is going to give the blazer to me.. its gonna be pretty old in a few years but who cares its amazing.

  • @scarface12347 Tell your dad to get you a Ford!

  • @Decepticon313 why down grade thats just stupid :P

  • @wtl1964 agreed

  • wow, THATS MY TRUCK lol well besides mine was made 12 89 and its a lil muddy along with some body damage lol

  • I love [ 0:20 ] 2 door suvs

  • yeah well they should have front anti lock brakes that would have really came in handy the other day when i got an accident

  • what all did it do to it??

  • oh my car was just fine, the liscense plate was a little bent. but you should have seen her mercedez it was horrible. im glad i drive a chevy, i only paid 200 for mine

  • @maslabud Just wasn't part of the option list back then, My 85 didn't have any Anti-lock at all like most vehicles around that time. The rear wheel ABS did not work when they were in 4WD either. Changes of time and technology makes them all better. One reason they only had rear wheel ABS was cost. Hope you enjoyed yours as much as I did mine!!
