@xMrJohn97x Yes, it will. As long as you but the canon mount version it will. You do not need any adapters for this lens to work with the 1100D. I have a 1000d and am buying this very soon.
@AwesomeAlex420 Sorry, the P500 is a bridge digital camera and the protruding lens is itself fixed to the body. You won't be able to change lenses using that.
@alextheromanian Yes, sharpness drops off quite considerably after around 225mm. After that you're better off to be shooting at around f/16 or higher to maintain sharpness.
@baldurstsiplakovs It actually is. Beacuse i bought it and putted a fisheye on the lens, and the pictures are gorgeus. I am not a newbeginner i photografy, i got lenses up to 5000 dollars, but this lens is a favorite!
@aussiedave24nsw yer u get what u pay 4 it take good photos not great but good being its spose 2 be a macro lens but u cant get 2 close 2 the subjet becouse it wont take the shot even on manel focse so when i get back like a 1 metre the photo wont come out very clear
@5Sportfreak5, Some eBay companies offer the lens with or without a UV filter, so if this lens was bought on eBay it would have come with the UV already on the lens.
I know a lot of people who bought expensive lenses but dont have enough brains on how to use it.the price is just right for the quality.dont be fooled on buying so much expensive lenses.
@175myles see that stupid comment.... im going to ignore it. because im mature and not a little baby like you. so gtfo and have fun buying a lens mr fussy.
@TheNikonD3100, I doubt you are mature with a comment like "UR AN UGLY LENS....", so when you grow up I'll start taking you seriously. Also, I quite like the look of my 70-200mm f/2.8 and my 50mm f/1.4.
@TheMrrandomman1000 Yes it would because it is compatible with my D5000 and any lens that is compatible with the D5000 is also compatible with the D3000.
sigma make shit glass, budget quality, I had the 28-300 and found that because it covers such a great focal length/range you end up with a lot of fall off/vignetting.. plus it's too slow and noisy..
@KARBONIZM Thats not true at all! The reason why you had a bad experience with sigma is because of the type of lens with such huge focal range. You wont be able to find any lens with this "zoom range" an also get a brilliant imagequality to the price -unless you pay fortune! All pro photografers actually recommend Sigma lenses next after Canon. Your judgement is not fair to sigma, i think.
Consiglio: quando cambi l'obiettivo dei farlo con il corpo macchina verso il basso in modo tale che non entra la polvere nel sensore, quindi la parte dell'obbiettivo rivolta verso il basso, ok? ciao ciao
I bought this lens to do a bit of Macro shooting and am very disappointed in it's build quality and slow focusing. The switch that controls the Normal to Macro focusing is very temperamental and jams unless the lens is in just the right position. I also think it was the cause of my Canon's ERROR 99 shutter issue. I do not recommend wasting money on the Sigma lens's instead save and get the Nikon / Canon equivalent and you'll be much happier in the long run.
"That means, if you are adult reading this, you should have enough money to buy a Canon/Nikkor/Sigma/Tamron/Tokina 70-200mm lens for this sector, though it is 3 times heavier." We're so naive xD
@dodonline yes it is. bu the 28-300 is NOT compatible with D40, D40x, D60, D3000, D5000. it could have been a better lens than this one coz' it has a much wider aperture (at F3.5) than this lens. Quite a disappointment for a D3000 users.
i think it looks great, its just that I don't have the steadiest of hands so need an image stabilised model. Shame its £250 more and comes without that useful macro option
Like Jodellstasic mentioned, the AF on most lenses isn't always reliable, especially when at 200-300mm using this lens. Although, even on MF I more often than not end up getting shoddy focusing, I mean, it's no fault of my own, but do you lot reakon that at 200-300mm I should be using a tripod near enough all of the time?
so i just got this lens today and i can't get it to focus. i have a nikon d60. on the menus it doesn't even let me change it from MF or AF, & the lens does not move on it's own like that..i can't figure it out. did i get a busted lens or am i doing something wrong??
When you change lenses, always hold the camera so that the lens munt is facing downwards to minimise the risk of getting dust all over your censor.
Also, NEVER change lenses with the camera turned on - I noticed in this video that once you had the lens mounted, you auto-focused without having to turn the camera on. bad idea. ALWAYS keep the camera switched off when changing lenses...
i want to buy this lens for my nikon d5000 dont you have problems with that the pictures are blury becouse it doesnt have vr? and can you use it without tri-pad or is that a problem? thanks for this video.
I had this lens and the same camera you have here. slod them both. the lens made some strainge noise while focusing after long time of use, hope your won't.
Autofocus is terrible and I never use it I find it to be a feature for people who don't know how to use a camera. Plus that shit jacks up the prices of most lenses.
