  • I am in high degree. Not too shabby.

  • VERY well done!

  • Another Jack-a-roe...

    WOW....

  • right on guyss. thankyou for posting. i hope your daughter enjoys her giftt!

  • hahah this kicks ass, a lot more to it than i was expecting VERY COOL

  • awesome!

  • Damn you guys are good!

  • Since I am trying to flatpick, listening to the song, that i like very much, i was thinking "it's not my job if two guys can play like this as a joke".

Reading I understand that you are serious playeers ;)

  • its allways fun just playing along with you guys

  • It's funny my little bro has got the same 30 dollar guitar and back when I only had an electric I would play Dead songs on it and it wasn't so bad!

  • I love this thing! At some point, I want to take Hugh to Toys-R-Us and pick up two of them and then re-release all of our tunes on the kids guitars...Imagine the Toys -R-Us version of Eyes of the World, Terrapin Station, and Help/Slip/ Franklin's....We could take that show on the road!

  • it was good, but why use a plectrum with a classical guitar?

  • I assume you're talking about the guitar on the right??? It's not a classical guitar- it's a Martin New Yorker (steel string). While we're on the topic, I sometimes like to play a classical guitar with a pick. Thanks for checking in.

    David

  • oh, my mistake. it looked like a classical because of the wide fretboard and the style of the tuning switches. good job though man!

  • hey there DS!

Yeah, that ol' Martin 016-NY has been a mainstay in my herd of guitars for over 30 years. I recently put her out front-line action (acoustic that is) as it has started to show some wear and tear problems. Terrific little guitar.

Thanks for your interest!! Stay tuned!!

    Best, Hugh - Handmade Groove

  • You guys rock! I love all your Dead covers keep em coming

  • First "rate" Act!

  • first act stuff may be cheap but there good quality. i have a mini amp, mic and wires, all first act and they work great. dont let price fool ya.

  • I was not at all refering to your equipment! I was genuine when saying you guys were a "first rate act". May life bring you all want and deserve.

    Kev

  • Geat, great stuff!

  • great job learned the little rifts in between the chords from watching this

  • thats funny you high jacked your kids guitar!i love playing this songs its so fun to play!

  • You guys were awesome. I was a little hesitant about watching at first, so glad I did, GREAT JOB, ty.

  • kick ass!

  • very very nice - jerry would be proud

  • Glad to see that I'm not the only dad buying their far too young children instruments and then playing them constantly because they're around!

  • thats cool man. raise em' right. good job too. ya'll kick arse.

  • Such a great song... one of my folk favorites, with beautiful lyrics. Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Jerry Garcia they all played it, and your version is on par with these ! I love the spirit with which you play these songs.

  • on par with dylan and garcia? nah.

  • Hey, from a 35 year veteran teacher/successful owner of a music school...don't start the guitar too young. Start w/piano/keyboard! Chk out website music-instruction.

  • kbrickell,

Thanks for the professional input. We have a piano, keyboards, xylophones, guitars and percussion galore and none of it is being pushed on her. Hannah plays what she wants to play when she wants to play it. She is very interested in my Martins and PRS so I got her the First Act. I agree, piano is the place to start the wee ones!!!!

  • Ahh, well, that was pleasant. Keep on pickin'

  • That $30 guitar sounds better than my $500 Alvaraz. Of course, it has a lot to do with its player. Fantastic job, guys!

  • Going to buy one of those guitars for my 3 yr. old son! Great job fellas you sound great!

  • those guitars are cool. i have one myself. my daughter does actually. sounds great!!!5 stars

  • Great choice- nice job. Thanks for sharing!

  • Hell yeah, didn't think of that one. Awsome job...

  • hell ya, guys, hell ya

  • great stuff, fellas! hugh: great solo, man! david: is that a ukelele, produced from the union of a dreadnought and a mandolin? ;-)

  • Fantastic! Please do a "Lifeboy" cover. That would be awesome.
