This is an extraordinary video..I know Tracy Chapman would encourage everyone ot use it, to post it on their wall. YES, it is shocking, but the "silence behind the wall" NEEDS to be "shocked" out of the silent houses where everyone thinks peace reigns supreme..those big mansions with 3 cars...those women and children get beat up on too. I know, I was a witness to one of them.

Hey, I'm supposed to make a short add AND movie,30-60seconds / 5-10mins long, on Gender Based Violence.

I am going to focus on child sexual abuse in street children,especially keeping in view the young girls from poor areas.

I don't want to make a documentary type movie and was wondering if ne1 cld give me some things that come to their mind regarding this topic.(low budget & 3-4people to cast) What kind of concept do you think I should go with?

I think most of the world should be re-taught true selfless love, or at least what it is. i think the world has forgotten. Funny how we always hear about "domestic violence against women" as if dv never happens against males. There is a link on my channel that provides 271 domestic violence studies that confirm "women to be equally or more violent in relationships compared with men".

Erin Pizzly stated that out of every 100 women coming to her dv shelter "62 were just as violent as the partner she left" '

Men suffer domestic violence too, over 830,000 men a year in America alone.

Domestic violence does not boil down to which sex you are, it never has and never will be and to hypocritically blame one gender over the other as the perpetrator of it will do nothing but lead us down the fast track to even more problems involving relationships in the future.

The logical thing is to repeal the Violence Against Women Act and replace with a Violence Against People Act. So women and men have legal justification to defend themselves, regardless if your attacker is man or woman. That is equality after all, and anybody who is against this is against real equality

She can just say, when you grabbed her arms she attacked you in self-defense. Police never question it, and it will be you going to jail.

If women have legal right to defend themselves, then men should be able to do the same.

Strength plays no factor in domestic violence, women have used weapons too. One man was abused by his wife, and when he tried to leave she hit him with a hot clothes iron, severely burning him.

I went through a very difficult time recovering from the assault, both physically and psychologically The man who abused me is currently in prison (for another offense) for a very long time to come. I'm doing well, attending college and working on my associates in human services. I am dating a wonderful, kind man who treats me with love and respect. I just had to hit bottom so to speak so I could make changes in my life. I deserve it!

I know that violence is most often perpetrated against women and children by me. Violence is violence. There are men like me who have experienced violence from a woman. It's hardly on the radar, that's because as a man you are supposed to be big enough to take it and would be too ashamed to talk about it. I certainly was.
