Yeah right. Not a word of objection. I thought captains were supposed to protect their crews not condemn them to death. Sheridan should have asked for volunteers. I mean what captain in his right mind is going to carry out an order to commit suicide?
the worse part is, 6 friends of mine died because of an order like this. In this time frame, ::paused:: the only thing that I can say to their kids is I am sorry. Uncle C couldn't help them. The best part is, 6 years afterward, I am not married, but I treat my friend's kids like my own.
On a more serious note, I think commanders get the shitty end of the stick because they've got polices to follow but still have to live with the consequences of the orders they give.
Oh No! Malcolm in the Middle's dad get's killed? He's got 3 evil genius kids and a devil wife he's leaving behind! WHY? OH GOD WHY!?!? Whoops, I guess the aforemention sentence explains it. I answered my own question, LOL!
I wonder if the Shadows boarded the vessel with anyone left alive or did the crew kill themselves? I'm thinking they had to be dead, otherwise the Shadows would have picked their brains or brainwashed them into giving them details about their talk with Sheridan.
Walter White is a bad ass.

Banzai!
In such circumstances, one must do what one can do. At least it brings certainity. Those people knew they were going to die. And they died well.

I pray that I may never have to give that kind of order.

Does the U.S. military ever give those kinds of orders? That sounds... insane, if you don't mind me saying so.

The Germans and the Russians did.

Sheridan acually makes reference to a decision that Eisenhower had to make during WWII in this episode. He had to decide whether to
A. Evacuate the city of Cuvantry and basically let the Germans know that they had broken their top-secret code or
B. Let them get bombed and keep the secret.
He chose B because in doing that it saved thousands of lives.
This has to be THE most difficult order any Captain has to make.

Eisenhower? Try Churchill. And btw it's Coventry...might want to crack a book on occasion.

@CreamyMayo
By Eisenhower i think you really mean Churchill and by Cuvantry i believe you mean Coventry.

@Anacronian
And it wasn't in this episode. He made the reference to Coventry way back in season 2.
