And you know. I believed this, but I never saw any restaurant change their costumers based on how willing they were to go to fast food restaurants.

I really thought that that was going to be the outcome.

And the French snooty waiters said the natural outcome would be that the costumers would eventually raid all restaurants and eat everything like the pigs they were.

What I saw instead was French restaurant owners either keep complaining or advertising their food as fast food.

Once fast food restaurants became popular snooty French waiters campaigned vigorously against them, saying those evil costumers hurt all those poor (French) waiters ;_;

Their food is healthy, but you can't even get in unless you're an adult. You have to make an appointment just to get in. You have to wait for no end and you will only wait longer if you are rude to them or say nothing at all. They call you pigs for wanting what they actually want to offer you.

And then somewhere around the 20th century, fast food restaurants are born.

It may not be good for you, but at least you can eat and you always feel welcome.

Gail really is the thought police. I am starting to think that we live in a 1984 society, where people think "this is bad, so let's make it illegal." The war on drugs is a prime example of this. I like the argument that you used in the Patrick Trueman video about smoking. I have never smoked knowing how bad of an idea it is, but if they made it illegal, what good would that do? People would still do it. Gail is an extremely reactive person, and has no ability to be proactive.

When these people say that they have PhD's and they have a right to do anything that pertains to their field (might I add that the knowledge of statistics is more important here than that of women's studies when finding statistics) and any statistician has no right to criticize them, just because they have a PhD. The 1 in 4 statistic is a load.
