It simply breaks my heart that they did a voice over on Senior Montalban here! I adore his voice (in "Neptune's Daughter" for instance). Sure he didn't sound classically trained, but there was such a wonderful depth and timbre to it!

Anyway, thanks so much for posting this! I've been having a hard time getting my hands on this film, so the scenes you've uploaded are very appreciated! :)

That's right. He had such a nice and agreeable voice and that's a pity he had to be voiced sometimes. Yet in the movie "Sombrero" he sang with his own voice.

Ricardo Montalban starred in Queen of Babylon with Rhonda Flemming. Unfortunately, they dubbed Montalban's voice over with a guy who had an American accent...I don't know why ANYONE would do something stupid like that. That just shows you that he was underappreciated back then (1956)...

You are quite right, moshn! But the only thing I find strange in this scene is that's not his original voice - and all of us know he had a very nice one! Otherwise, he sang in "Two Weeks With Love", but not using his voice either. Why he would have been voiced only God knows. For you to understand better, take a look at the video in which he sang "Eufemia". I'll send it to you.
