  • sounds greate^^ im actually high^^ high on my live^^

  • trippy shit, i must say

  • I loved it, but I must disagree, or t least have a neutral stance, on the position of drug use. I was an 11 or 12 year old girl when I first read the novel and could so entirely identify w/Alice's experience. I was not into drugs or alcohol at the time, but pretty lonely, creative & imaginative.

    LT

  • AMEN!

this is just about nostalgia, when I was a little girl I had the same fantasies Alice had, "through the looking glass" that was like my exact childhood, it's quite sad that now as we get older and duller all we can conclude is that this is about drugs

  • Jefferson Airplane was not blaming anyone for drug use.

Nor did they think that Alice in Wonderland "prompted" kids to use drugs.

They were trying to say that the story closely resembles a drug-induced trip.

or that it was written under drug influence.

Jefferson Airplane was made up of hippies.

Smoking bud & Doing LSD is what they do.

  • The song was written because they felt that stories such as Alice and Wonderland prompted kids to use drugs. So when parents were confused as to why their children were getting high... "tell them a hookah smoking caterpillar has given you the call"

They're blaming the parents and stories for the drug use.

  • I love it.

  • great job man, nice synch

  • Beautiful lady in the Matrix!

  • Im glad Disney put these scenes in, they are part of the BOOK after all, which came out in 1862 mind all of you. WAAAAAAAAYYYY before LSD was EVER even INVENTED. "And no evidence has ever been found that linked Carroll to drug use. Even in his diaries, Carroll has never made any reference to the use of drugs."

    (Lenny's Alice in Wonderland site)

    Thank you very much.

  • No, thank YOU. For being one of maybe 50 people on the planet who know this very simple truth.

Cant one be creative, nonsensical and abstract without drugs? Or are human beings THAT dull? Well, I guess we are now. Sad.

  • you sound high. lol

  • LOL!! I must agree...

  • Never have been, never will be. Its even more sad when you make a point using big words and some common knowledge and people think youre on drugs. ^.^ I think the ones who really ARE high are the ones who see it that way.

  • get over yourself.

  • Get some intellect xD

  • like i said... get over yourself.

  • Id rather be an egotist than someone who replies with "huh huh, you sound high" to common sense. I tend to block the rude, mentally numb variety of hippie/wannabes. I know you wont mind.

  • Lighten up. buh bye. :)

  • this story is most definantly about a trip. LSD is so appearant here. white rabbit fits this movie perfectly.

  • LSD wasn't around when Carrol wrote these, sorry :)

  • ever heard of shrooms? they been here since the earth began lol. this movie is a complete trip. and the song just fits

  • Lewis Carrol was also a child molester to not just a huge junkie (see kids you learn somehting new everyday)

  • never been proven one way or the other.

  • Why do they mention her doing mushrooms in the song

  • the catepillar tells her one side of the mushroom will make her taller n the other will make her shorter it's when he turns into a butterfly & is flying away

  • cause she does it in the movie lol

  • DUDE I LOVE THE BEGINING WITH THE CAT that was perfect!

  • Lewis carrol wrote this story about a trip he had while on LSD call me wrong,I DONT GIVE A SHIT.all you have to do is simply think about it,I MEAN seriously do you think a sober person is going to write about a catipillar sitting on a mushroom smoking out of a hookah and whoever thinks this is a theory is a complete dumbass.

  • when he wrote the book, LSD wasn't even INVENTED yet. And how can you even WRITE when you're on a trip??

  • maybe you can't, but some people can

  • mushrooms have been on earth for thousands of years freind lol.

  • According to a book i have that has all of Lc's works,it tells of how Alice came about,LC was out on a boat trip with a friend and his daughters one of which was named alice and he told the story of alice to them, the story though had been thought up by him prior and the girl alice asked him to write it down for her,so he wrote alices adventures underground, which became Alices adventures in wonderland, and disney combined it and through the looking glass to make alice in wonderland, opium not LSD.

  • luv sponge bob!

also cool, PEER INTO youtube's finest kaleidoscope, filmed with a high res camera and awesome color capture.

    youtube ** BLUE SIBERIA **

  • He was a known child predator in Brighton

  • ACID

  • as much as i love both the song, the movie AND especially the book, Many people still believe that Alice's story is about a drug trip. It's not. Sorry to break it to you people, the rumors sprang up in the 60s only when the new drug subculture began; they created the rumors to support it.

ps-the dormouse never said "feed your head" in neither the movie nor the book.

  • The movie was made in '51, the places where it tends to be the most trippy are the parts that were put in by Disney. There isn't a shadow of doubt in my mind that they were put in there intentionally. The drug culture of the 60s had Haight-Ashbury, they didn't need rumours to "support" it, if anything references have more to do with the government's experimental use of LSD just prior. It's all speculation. There isn't enough evidence in Carroll's work to say whether it is or isn't about drugs.

  • when will alice learn, you never catch the rabbit...

Isn't it amazing how the trippiest movies weren't intended to be that way?

  • They knew that this movie was filled with drug references it didn't happen on accident

  • lol, Aldous Huxley was originalyl going to write the script. Yeah, you know "The Doors of Perception"? If not, look it up, and this movie will no longer seem an accident

  • lewis carrol MEANT it to be this way, as crazy nonsense imagination land, but of course, people interpretted his work as a drug trip. Even tho, it wasnt intentional.

  • i think the whole movie is about a shroom trip

  • BINGOOOOO

  • LCD accually, appreantly the guy that wrote the book was completely fucked when he did it.

  • Yeah, that's a rumor. The book wasn't about drugs at all.

P.S - It's LSD, LCD is a type of lightbulb, fool.

  • It was a fucking typo you mindless idiot.

  • dear friend give me a recipe for 10 ft alices.

  • lol,you mean LSD?

  • yeah i corrected that mistake yesterday. typo..

  • Niceee I Enjoi The Song ... !

  • Everytime I hear this song all I can think about is the vietnam war.. and fear and loathing of course haha

  • It would be hilarious if they made a movie showing whats really happening to Alice. She eats something, and she thinks shes getting really big, but really she's just tripping. Starts freaking out because she thinks she's falling. They should do that on SNL.

  • They did, it's called Alice in Acidland.

  • Cool video

  • Ah, quality music, so hard to come by these days. Especially with school mates feeding you crap like that Disney channel stuff....

  • This music is trippy ass hell. I dont do drugs but I can only imagine what this song must sound like when your high.

  • Yeah...!

  • Wow, i'm 14 and I actully like this song. Haha.

  • thats because its REAL music.

not disney channel cookie cutter bull

  • True. Disney music is really gay.

  • saige94,

don't share your age online. It's stupid and unsafe.

  • Sure, because there is only ONE 14 year old in the world and you are going to just track me down? Yeah, my birth year is in my usedname. 1994. Relax. kthanks.

  • I don't want to preach to ya, kid. Just don't make a habit of it.

  • why you bein so wise

  • I'm not being wise. Just using a little common sense. ;)

  • You know, it's not that stupid. I mean, yeah sure paedophiles blah blah blah, but seriously it's not like he / she is giving out an address, and a list of fears on the back of a school time table is it?

  • FABULOUS video of a FABULOUS song!! I was there and remember it all (mostly...) AAHAAHAHAHAA!!!

    "FEED YOUR HEAD.........."

  • trippin balls yo

  • This is definately one of the best songs ever

  • Loved it!!!!

  • grace slick my heroe

  • LSD is back for 2008!

  • thank god

  • tim burtons alice in wonderland drops 2011!

  • The Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton movie is actually scheduled to be released on March 5th 2010!

  • Love the end part of this video.

White Rabbit is one of the best songs ever written.

  • Lewis Carroll was also Alice Liddel's stalker. Look it up.

  • take your own advice and look it. it's not true

  • Yes it is, and I have looked it up. Alice in Wonderland was not based after Alice Liddell, but Lewis Carroll was asked by her to tell her and her sisters a story while on a boat ride, and she asked him to write it down. So after a few months he gave her the book "Alice: Through the Looking Glass and What She Found There." Although, and has been proven, that the Alice in his books was not the girl Alice Liddell,he was indeed her stalker. In the back of the book he left her name in an acrostic poem.

  • Lazy. You could have done a heck of a lot better. Change scenes with the beats and far more often. Plus some of the picks were a lousy fit through the song. The caterpillar scene was also way too long. Recommendation, re-do and repost.

  • i need another room know

  • This is brilliant, I've been trying to find a decent video to go with the legendary song that is White Rabbit :) Thank You

  • It's weirder than it is cool

  • love.....

  • I doubt it the book was originally wrote before 1900.

  • people use psychadelics back then. it was less common and well known tho, mainly because there was n media or drug culture

  • Lewis Carroll wrote "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" in 1865 and "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There" in 1871...

  • wasnt this movie based on what someone saw when they were high/?

  • basically.....they say Alice was on Acid so yea i think they were

  • yeah I heard the same thing.

  • was this really the orginal soundtrack, or waz it superimposed

  • Superimposed...trippy, ain't it? :)

  • love

    this

    <3

  • How can anyone not like this song? I suppose if someone is without a soul perhaps. Just a great song, I wish I could just step right in and fade away.

  • I think I might have nightmares, lmao. Im being the freaking mad hatter for halloween though :]]

  • !GUYS ONLY! looking to chat just got new laptop G

  • I'm scared...I want to come back

  • Best Disney Movie ever

  • u got that right but next to peter pan tho

  • agreed, there is nothing like Classic Disney, All this stuff the have been spitting out for like the past 10year **or more** is just crapish

  • i know!

  • Thats a pretty trippy movie 4 kids :P

  • alice in wonderland is just an acid trip

  • ask alice

  • mushrooms are cool

  • OMG!i just found out about the new alice in wonderland... i'm a HUGE FAN OF ALICE but I DONT EXACTLY WANT TO SEE THE COLORFUL ALICE in wonderland goth...it should stay colorful like the way lewis carrol and walt disney made it... but i guess it's time for a change

  • I just enjoy a good mindf*ck, regardless of whether it's flamboyant or goth

  • lets do a mushroom

  • way ahead of u buddy

  • i really got angry when i bougth the vhs, no drugs or little girl include :( lol, sorry

  • Johnny Depp is going to be an awesome Mad Hatter. Can't wait for the gothic Alice. And by the way, Carroll was addicted to opium, and hated The Illuminati, which Alice is making fun of. But who cares if he was an addict, great story.

  • i cant wait either!

  • WOW I've never seen this film b4 gosh where have i been all this time?

  • I have heard that Lewis Carroll was epileptic, and Alice falling down the rabbit hole was a description of the beginning of a seizure.

  • just a fuckin genious telled acid trip <3

  • I'm kind of an Alice freak. I just kind of find it heard to believe that Lewis was on anything. I don't know. There isn't any proof that he did, or didn't. It's all speculation. Who knows if he really did or not.

  • The whole story-land that Alice goes into was written by some druggy, lol. Or technically she falls into it herself.

  • Lewis Carroll was writing a children's book. I will agree with the fact that he did have weird tendencies with children, but he was most certainly not a druggie. Not that I have anything against druggies.. I am one.

  • From what I heard, he actually might have, since drugs back in the victorian age, were actually very common (Heroine, opium and coke). So it wouldn't be surprising that his writing was gained from his highs.

  • Rubbish

  • The whole "Lewis Carroll-Opium Trip" myth is a load of crap.

  • accually... no its not.. its quite true.. read the book, it has several drug refrences,... and lewis carol was an opim addict

  • FeEd YoUr HeAd !

  • LSD

  • when was it written?

  • the song or the book?

the book was wirtten in the 60`s from Lewis Carroll, he was often drunkn but not on drugs(or maby :-) but not official)

He wrote the book for his love, she was a 8 year old girl, carroll was really "fertig mit da welt")

  • I thought that the girl he like was 11.... hmmmm, oh well, it definitely wasn't an opium trip, the closest thing to that was what the caterpillar was smoking.

  • and yes he did like a girl and she was 11... but YES alice is an opium trip it has sevreal drug refrences... and he has an addict... and he was high

  • I apologize for being so rudely blunt, however, I humbly disagree with you. Perhaps we shall never know who is correct, many unreliable sources will always find their way into our views.

  • its perfectly fine, its an intersting debate, because I THINK and i emphisse think... that a book with several drug refrences, had to be writted by a drug addict, nobody, who isnt addicted is THAT obsessed, with drugs well thats my opinion haha

  • One day Alice was sitting on Lewis Carroll's lap and got a big surprise!

  • This film is one of disneys finest

  • The artists who drew "Fantasia" really did get high on mushrooms. The name of the mushroom was Fantasia.

  • This is back when Disney was worthy of their name.

  • Damn i Love This.

i Love The Movie its 1 of

    My All Time Favorites.

    And i LOVE this Song.

    i Wonder wut it Will

    Feel like Getting

    High and listning to

    this song.

  • Okay, for all you dumb asses out there. The guy who wrote the book was high on acid. it's just what he thought of, while being high.

  • acid (LSD) wasnt invented when he wrote it so how could he have been

  • Buddy drugs have been around for like 100's of years, crystal meth was around in 1940's. dont give me that crap you goof.

  • yer i know drugs have been around for 100's of years, but acid hasnt and wasnt around when he wrote it. Its kinda stupid to call people dumbasses and say he was high on acid when he cant have been. He may have been on other drugs but its not been proven.

  • Thousands of years actually....

  • because it wasnt acid... it was opium... alice in wonderland has so many opium references its not even funny

  • Drugs were not illegal then.

  • i know they werent, but he was high on opium when he wrote the book.,....

  • Just my point.Back in those days, doctors often got people on drugs just to kill the pain.

  • they still do.

  • according to some rather odd studies, marijuana helps cancer patients with the nausiea associated with chemotherapy.

  • This is a proven fact.

It helps keep an appetite up and keep food dowm.

  • actually bro this book was written in like the late 1800s and acid wasnt invented till like the mid 1900s. he was probly on sumtin else though

  • dude... i think it was opium.. not acid but YES he was high

  • They didn't have acid during the time it was written, moron.

  • It may have been based on a shroom or acid trip, but that doesn't mean there are subliminal messages endorsing drugs in there.

  • there isn't in the film. but the book kinda is... Lewis was a really strange individual.

  • tim berton is remaking alice in wonderland!!!

  • and i cant wait til it comes out...johnny depp is gonna play the mad hater

  • It should be Martin Short. He looks like the mad hatter all the time. All he needs is a tall hat.

  • she ate shrooms and got high and what not

  • Ahahahahh...this is wonderful!!! Subliminal messages, ohhhh please. This is a great video, thanks for posting balthazar.

  • i hope we dont get in argument cuz i'm not mad at u or nothin all i'm saying is whether kids no it or not which was a good point it still has subliminal messages related to drugs thats all i'm gunna say

  • hey if anyone would like to see more jefferson airplane videos go to my channal and everyone Subscribe!

  • um idk its all one mushroom and theres a million drug refrences i just think its funny how this movie is for kids nd the fact that they made an adult version kinda shows that they realized this movie could easily be made for adults only

  • Ahahahah...YAHOOO...remember FEED YOUR HEAD!!!

  • this movie is so fuckin bad for little kids lmao

  • how?

  • negative sir, its an epic adventure to follow along. kids dont know this ressembles an intense LSD or Mushroom trip exagerated. Silly supak108

  • i love trippin balls and listening to this song

  • whooo r u

  • me encanta este montaje, además de que es una de mis canciones favoritas

  • Jefferson AirPlane Badass best band ever

  • tim burton is making a new stop motion version by following lewis carolls book

  • even better, Marilyn Manson is making a strange biopic of Lewis Carroll complete with his night terrors and its gonna be all Marilyn Mansony.

So it shall be a good show.

  • Disney Killed this movie it loved the original version alot better then the new one.

  • Walt Disney was definitely both on something, and onto something when he made this movie.

  • it was actually lewis carol who is responsible for the crazy brillance that is alice in wonderland. check out his complete works book. its awesome...

and yes infused82, i like drugs too lol

  • see?? thats what happens when you are in drugs

  • i love drugs

  • me too
