This video urges women to be cautious. Dated yes, but important. However, the victim is never to blame. But the sad truth is, many of these creeps take any kind of trust or opportunity to carry out their attacks. And often, the woman is raped by someone she knows and trusts. The rapist takes advantage of that trust and that is never the fault of the victim. Every situation is different, every perpetrator is different. It's never simple. Thanks for posting.

I was hitch-hiking alone one night and a guy gave me a ride. He slammed my head into the dashboard really hard and I had my small knife in my hand. I cut his arm and he stopped to try to take the knife away from me. He was stopped in the lane of a two-lane road. Fortunately for me, a guy in the car behind me partially saw what was happening and stopped and helped me. The potential rapist was caught and he had murdered his last victim. He still got almost no time in jail.

@thekenniewitch He pleaded down to manslaughter and got 8 years. Out in less than that. Which left him free to attack me.

He was charged with forcible confinement but not charged with assault as I had no visible marks on me. He got a $650 fine for that. He probably moved and I have no idea where he went. Just glad that he isn't here anymore.

Rape prevention (from a female perspective): Trust in God and carry a gun (ladies, we have a Right to carry a concealed weapon, never be afraid to exercise your Right and protect yourself). Don't put yourself in stupid and dangerous situations, instead use wisdom and good judgment and always be aware of your surroundings.

@huskerdaisy If you get a gun you need to take a safety training in guns. Some bullets have the power to go through walls and you don't want to hit a neighbor. You also need to have a permit to carry. Bullets can riccochet off hard objects and may get you instread of your target. To shoot a handgun accurately takes a LOT of practice. Too many people hesitate at the last second and this gives the enemy time to get the gun away from you. Elbows, however are legal. LOL

Allow me to respond to each of your individual concerns. “If you get a gun” (I own many), “you need to take safety training” (Um no you don’t, but it’s important to practice regularly, which I do), “some bullets go through walls” (that’s why you use hollow points), “you also need a carry permit” (obviously genius, but a concealed carry permit isn’t necessary for a home defense weapon).

@huskerdaisy I personally know of a guy who is paralyzed from the waist down because a bullet riccoched off a hard object and hit him in the spine. I do know what I am talking about because I took a great gun safety course. You seem to have a problem with me so I am no longer going to post comments to you.
