those boards r to big/switch to a fun gun and u will be able to work the wave/that was so frustrating to watch those guys near end just ride straight/the power is on the face/at least try to hang 10lol/fun vid
@surfactor777 The guy on the outside controls the wave...nobody can turn unless he does. He just didn't realise it was going to clean up and pitch so quick or so heavy. Many of the regulars are starting to use shorter boards, but then they have to increase the volume, because the reduce salt in the water means boards are less bouyant. Big boards will help get through the fatter sections. They all have their+ and - on a wave that changes so much.
I'm told it has been done, but I've never seen it personally, despite having seen a lot of barrells on the bore. I think it would be fair to say that this section was behaving unpredictably. Even so, it looks very makeable.
There are a few spots which do it fairly reliably,. Some of them would be sponge access only due to size, others are very difficult to make for other reasons. ..the fact that the river is still flowing until the moment the wave arrives being one. difficult to paddle in when it goes hollow
Aprt from Steve, do you know who the others were who were taken out so rudely by Sabrina, Kidderlidder? Brilliant videos, I really enjoyed this set of tides and meeting up with you guys, must make sure we have a mid week meet up each set if poss. trev whirlpool
