  • Of course it would be cheaper, ND's don't have student loans to pay off.

  • @oliverdavidanderson yes they do- they do attend medical school. There are different types of medical schools- Allopathic, osteopathic, and naturopathic. Unfortunately there are online schools who sell worthless degress in "naturopathy" and give the field a tainted image. However, a doctorate in naturopathic medicine is an actual medical degree and the people who attain it are really physicians. Many states already regulate and license the profession and many more soon will...

  • @sky2fire

we all must remember that the holistic medicine is oppurtunistic without the hand of god,

not withstanding evil deeds of both sides of the department.

  • Actually the real fraud is in the pharmaceutical industry. There are over 65000 lawsuits AGAINST drug companies within a 6 year period.Drugs like Actos,Avandia,Vioxx,Zyprexa,Paxil,Zoloft,Plavix,Ritalin,Accutane and were prescribed by the glorified drug peddlers called allopaths/md's.Conrad Murray was another quack that the big pharma con artists would defend, they are actually real criminals.Don't get me started on psychiatry, its a complete pseudoscientific fraud.Waste of money.

  • Of course it's cheaper to see someone who's not really going to cure you of anything.

  • @rjc34 LOL, are you speaking of ND's not curing you of anything? You think Big Pharma will? Never. Go watch The Brudzynski Movie. While the guy is an MD, he mine as well wear an ND because he practices like one. Big Pharma will NEVER allow for cures. No money to be made buddy boy. People have been cured with naturpathic remedies. Do the research.

  • @emerson24 I have done the research. I read the journals. How often when trying to defend this woo do you cite double-blind studies published in peer-reviewed journals? I'm going to say not very often.

You 'big pharma' conspiracy guys are pretty hilarious to listen to though; if not a bit saddening.

  • @rjc34 I actually work with ND's and see the results first hand. You know nothing. Go shadow one, or go to med school, naturopathic. Learn first hand, not second hand. Sorry, you lose.

  • Quack quack. Please don't call yourself a doctor it is very insulting to the brilliant people who have spent their lives learning science and medicine and save thousands of lives everyday. You, on the other hand, wasted your life studying pseudoscience that doesn't help anybody. See the difference?

  • @oliverdavidanderson I'm looking at the ND curriculumn... they take science and medicine classes... so I don't know what you're talking about.

  • @PeaceUdo it's pseudoscience, not based on experimental analysis and double blind tests. It is an entire field fabricated around the placebo affect and just plain bullshit.

  • @oliverdavidanderson Except for the fact that they take the same classes as MDs...

  • @oliverdavidanderson Clearly an opinion based on no research. You just parrot what other ill informed people say. How about you subscribe to a journal of naturopathic medicine and see science based evidence? How about you go to earth clinic dot com and read all the anecdotal evidence. Mainstream medicine doesn't cure shit. I've worked as a PA for 13 years now and hear the same BS preached by every surgeon I've worked with. Got arthritis? Live with it. Yeah, that's real medicine I tell you.

  • @oliverdavidanderson no i dnt ...its basic NDs blend traditional medicine and modern ..any doctor is good depends on the patients opinion..an ND and MD diagnose a patient and in the end do something to make it better either a pharmaceutical prescription or a natural alternative which both work fine..MDs just go into a more physical spectrum using science to get more detail in something that already existed..NDs work like shamans sticking to physical and spiritual spectrum modifying old wisdom

  • @oliverdavidanderson Save lives? Really? Would you mind telling me how many people are admitted to the ER from gastric bleeding from NSAID's? How about those who bleed to death? How about those who die from other medications? Ohhhh but it's just part of the 100 possible side effects and THAT's okay isn't it? Mainstream medicine has a place for treating EMERGENT situations, and that's it! Otherwise, it is useless. They don't cure anything.

  • @oliverdavidanderson In the last 20 years, how much money has Jerry's kids and Cancer raked in? And what have they cured? NOTHING. You want to keep running your ill informed mouth? Hunh? Ready to have it shut? Ok. Not that you will because you are too pompously arrogant in your opinion to bother to search for the truth. Go watch The Brudzynski Movie. Then, go watch The Marketing of Madness and RESEARCH the claims made. Go learn something for once.

  • Its even cheaper to pick your butt. About as effective too!

    Naturopathic medicine= quackery.

  • @matx212 You shouldn't dismiss something you obviously know nothing about.

  • Naturopathy is for brainwashed idiots who somehow believe that "natural" is better. The reality is that the ginko biloba he "prescribes" you comes in a plastic bottle and it was all processed in a factory by a company that is out to make as much money as possible with no regards for the safety or efficacy of their pills.

  • Brainwashed? umm no, more like educated dude.

Before critisizing everything new to you, you should educate yourself. Read more, learn, have fun and stop judging. That big ego of yours will only get in your way to see the truth. I suggest you read everything on nutrition, fitness, mind body connection, meditation, yoga, messages, nlp, hypnosis, ect.And I would even suggest you read about quantum physics and spirituality. Have you seen "what the bleep do we know - Down the rabbit hole" ...

  • You might just learn something.

You're breadth and depth of meaning seems like it's lacking. In order to create intelligence you will need to expand and deepen your individual perceptual field.

Keep on reading and keep on thinking.

  • Quantum physics? What on earth does quantum physicis have to do with proving something as retarded as homeopathy?

FYI quantum physics is an arena where knowledge is rapidly expanding, but it isn't expanding towards CAM.

As for the other stuff, well great, I'm glad that yoga, massages and keeping physically fit make you feel better; these are not things that require a kooky degree to practice. But all the yoga and half-assed nutritional advice you offer can't do shit to an actual disease.

  • @cowy1

Care to prove your underlying supposition, that there is no sound medical research underlying the advice and training that ND's share with patients?

Our medical clinic is fully integrated. Our ND is one of the sharpest physicians I have ever met and is constantly looking at the latest research. She has a wide knowledge of functional medicine and is constantly being asked in for consults with our other (regular) doctors.

I think you are suffering from misinformation.

  • Have you ever been to a Naturopathic physician before?

  • This is off-topic but Dr. Ferguson is a dead ringer

    for singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg.

  • I definitely would go to a naturopathic doctor if my

HMO pays for it. Unfortunately, they don't. So I go

    see the conventional doctors.

  • @Soulnik You should look up some NDs, sometimes they have negotiable plans.
