what if the size of the AVI file is 12 Gb? yes, that is right, 12 with nine zeros following it. can imtoo convert such a large AVI file to a DVD, or multiple DVDs???

yes, most likely you will have to split the video into several segments and put it on multiple dvds

@garyg337 Check what your DvD drive type is. Put the disc in, go to computer, goto properties and see if its +R or -R. U need to buy blank DvD's of the same type :)

Check where you have set the temp folder in the "Tools-Settings". Also make sure there is more than 4GB of free space there

In the settings-Preference, please set it to low quality. This sometimes happens when the original file has a higher bit rate, which would cause such problem if the default quality setting is used.

@PADS7AR It will depend on how fast your computer is, and what configurations you use. But with normal configuration, and regular speed computer, it should take less than 1 and a half hours

i have xilisoft avi to dvd think its the same one my movies are like 700mb to 1.3gb yet it takes 1 hour + to convert it anyway to speed it up its kinda annoying i can useually burn it without converting it in 9minutes or less. help?

The program works in 2 parts, first it will convert/encode the format, then it burns the disc. The encoding's what's taking most of the time.
