  • Its not free, since you already paid for it. It should be called, how to get the most out of your money and even then, that is a questionable statement. Since you are using a microwave (energy costs), along with environmental impact. I would be interested to know if you recycle the plastic yourself? Also if you want something completely FREE, use your urine as a plant fertilizer. And you're right, BF said a penny saved is a penny earned but somebody else said, time is money.

  • @galagarian75 Sure it's paid for, but makers include an some product designed to hold the deodorant cake in place, which is normally discarded. Microwave energy costs for a 10 sec. warming, is negligible in my opinion. If I could afford solar panels, I'd have them. I recycle everything I can. We drive a Prius & Smart Fortwo and use canvas shopping bags.

I care about the environment, but don't consider myself an environmentalist. I'm a cheapskate! Tom's is too expensive, but thanks!

  • hey its how the rich stay rich.

or how the poor get rich.

  • Somewhere in America there's a broke ass student that truly thanks you. :0)

  • thats awsome

  • all that work for that little of amount! good for seniors with a lot of time on their hands

  • You kids now-a-days and your fancy throw away mentalities. Yes... all that work! I know, all of 45 seconds from start to finish. I'm pooped... I'd better go take a nap.

  • lol, it's true about kids these days, I'm 40 years old and always preach about saving a buck here and there, thanks for the upload and instructions.

  • @Denb7 I really hope you recycle! and If you like deodorant so much, support a good company like Tom's of Maine.

  • Now that. Is a brilliant idea! 5 stars! How did you discover this amazing trick?

  • After analyzing how the product is packed, I figured it had to be a liquid during the process. Considering that it is a wax-like substance I assumed it would melt if heated. My first attempt was to try the microwave and it turned out to be the best method. Experimenting with the timing, I found 10-12 seconds to be sufficient for the small amounts being heated.

  • Hmmm... Your right, that is very effective. There were other attempts?

  • The microwave was simple and effective. The only other attempts involved finding the right timer setting... 30 seconds proved to be overkill.

  • Now that was slick! Rated 5 stars!

Had to try that, waiting now for the result as it must dry now.

  • I got another one in the works to save money on air fresheners.

  • I look forward to seeing how you do that. I know I used to use deodorant for that..Maybe you have a better way.

  • plz, make more windows movie maker videos, there why im subscribed

  • What do you want to know about Movie Maker?

  • I dunno, just stuff thas cool.. if you know any cool effects er something, just post em

  • didnt u post this a long time ago?

  • Yes, sorry. It was only a few weeks ago, but I hate errors and I discovered a spelling error that would have driven me nuts, so I replaced the corrected version.

Hint: I spelled 'deodorant' wrong... twice!

    Thanks for the comment anyway!
