lol....couldn't help but notice how when you said fatboy at the end of the video you put right between your legs....you trying to advertise something else here? j/k
This is their Khaki. I was thinking of redoing the vid in HD since i have a much better set up now, but this is the older version of Fatboy. The new one has a waist belt instead of the belt loop and i believe a top handle.
I just got mine today and it does not have a belt loop in the back. It has a setup like a belt with the clips in the front kind of like the jumbo. The only thing that sucks is I'am a big guy and it doesn't close size 38 waist. I just might lose weight or cut the belt setup.
You're right...the newer versions have the belt setup, this one is an older version (the only version at the time I taped this) with the belt loop on the back.
@mcallenr LOL. It funny the fatboy don't fit a fat boy. What a let down. If you didn't lose the weight there is a pouch that hook in between both release clip. I think it add 6-10 inch to the strap.
Hi Jake, loved the review as I commented on earlier. Please tell me the manufacturer and model of your wrist watch (so I can Google" it). Thanks, and thanks again for your service to our country. stay safe, Jim
Thanks for an interesting, thorough, fast moving review (as you know, some are b-o-r-i-n-g). From your wrist watch, shorts and tattoo, I can tell you'll be a marine in your heart forever. Thanks for your USMC serivice and a great review!
I like the Fatboy, the only flaw with it that I have experienced is that the pocket behind the main pocket isnt deep enough for airlike tickets, you have to squeeze your tickets into it since they are slightly longer then the pocket is deep.
If you people liked the Fatboy you are going to love the Fatboy Jumbo wich is even a nicer bag.
No experience with that bag. I've found 5.11 gear is pretty good. Maxpedition seems to have more rugged materials though. But I say either way you go you should be good.
I used to be a big 5.11 fan but I think that Maxpedition is a much better quality product. If I had to choose between the two I would go with Maxpedition.
Do you have any experience with the 5.11 PUSH bag? It seems very similar to the Fatboy, but at half the price. I'm deciding which one of these to get...
The only padding is on the back of the packs for comfort. The material is very durable and abrasion resistant and water resistant (not waterproof). But as far as padding, the bags aren't padded.
are the maxpedition bags padded enough to use for storing a slr camera body that isnt padded? A bag is a bag ast the end of the day. in theory a plastic shopping bag will carry items safely if you are carefull and don't bash around.
Dude are you really gonna take the man purse?
Its not a purse, its a satchel. Indiana Jones has one.

is the main pouch on this waterproof on the inside? I was wondering if it could be used as a lunch box?

I don't yet have any experience with the EDC...but I believe the EDC is a jumbo versipak....so the fatboy is smaller than the EDC
shakyjake64 1 year ago

Yes. They're quality zippers and are the larger type of zippers so they won't break and are hefty!

What are the zippers like? Durable?

There is Molle. Just below where one of the straps connects, and on the end, where there is a pocket. Check my site for better review and pictures.

Why no molle on it?
