The song makes me upbeat, dance, cheer so its good but i must say the video is not for me to say anything good about...hope it was free....maybe should have waited...
taking 9 words from a song does not make it a cover. Take a look at the wrinkles on the face of the man who wrote that song this is modeled after, Rik Emmett, that tells the story of this song written from the heart. I'm all for bringing an old song into the new but this is not doing that, this is just the theft of a melody and pandering to a fickle audience.
You are definitely entitled to your opinion. Just so you know though, Triumph gave "On the Line (Lay It)" their blessing and in fact Rik Emmett collaborated with the band to write the new lyrics. This is the Canadian answer to the classic Run D.M.C/Aerosmith "Walk This Way." Open your mind Brother. It's a new day!
Dude are you serious! First off this was done with full permission from Triumph and Universal. It's not a remake or cover - what would be the point! - it's an interpolation. If you'd bother to listen to the lyrics you'd easily hear that it's relevant to issues that we face right now! And yes, todays audiences are fickle, but that's what everybody's said of audiences since Jesus Christ. Fickle - YES, as stupid as you assume - NO. Peace - P
WOW!! Not what I was expecting at all. Very cool.
