  • Where does he get all the spare parts and tools required without somebody at some point using money to purchase them?!? Also, how does the man travel to the location of the incident without money unless he is within walking/cycling distance. Also, how is the man able to receive a phone call without using money?!?

  • Heh...awesome vid, nice throwback to the 'silent movie' era. Sounds like the idea of a resource based economy is picking up momentum. That's a good thing...what's money for these days besides keeping score in some finite game of no practical worth. I gave up playing Monopoly when I learned sociological studies. Keep up the good work and keep spreading the word!

  • "You won't make money, but you will make friends!" The good thing is that's an easy choice for most people. The bad thing is that most of those people are making the wrong choice.

  • Take away what they value and we gain power, plow your land and feed your own.My incentive would be the smiles and happiness of my children growing healthy and strong,(Out with the old and in with the new)Bullshit,Out with the new and in with the old......time to get back to what worked.

  • The woman offers half a crown and the man says no, I came seeking ubuntu. She thinks to herself he's cute but I'm done with him, and makes him vanish. I believe this gross heartlessness is because children no longer see people they know and care about accomplishing anything of value directly, and their role models routinely act just like the woman in the video.

  • @goobledell Huh. I didn't understand a word.

  • @LoveConnieAndTH The man is seeking a deeper human sharing with the world around him, through being a helper or rescuer. The woman is a brutal solitary, open to the fellow only as a cute accessory or a fixit device; not for human sharing (ubuntu). I cannot imagine being like that. Many children have related to me very similarly to how the woman does.

  • @goobledell How do you know the woman is like that ? This is just a simple video intended to be funny, not serious, while explaining the idea of Freeconomy at the same time. I think "he's cute" is just there because it's funny. And how do you know the woman isn't ready to do a sacrifice for someone herself ?? How did you want her to react, then ? That man seems to have no problem with her ; if people aren't perfect, you should accept it. That is the idea of unconditional love and giving.

  • @LoveConnieAndTH: A kind person getting their bike fixed would have studied the countenance of the mechanic somewhat to attempt a closing that fit his feelings. I have no wish for anyone's sacrifice in behalf of me being a heartless jackass. Quite possibly the man has a different view than I, but maybe he also was hurt and confused and never volunteered again. To me, unconditional love is a feeling; as an idea it becomes a sickness.

  • @goobledell You're right.... but anyway, I don't think the video is very realistic. As I said it's intended to be a funny introduction to freeconomism and I don't think the people who made it really thought it through. Or do you think that many people act like the woman in the video ? I really hope not.

("as an idea it becomes a sickness"... what I mean is not hugging every single person in the street, but at least accepting and respecting everyone as much as you can.)

  • I love this Concept and being following the website too for two years. you will find its website by clicking the above down arrow to the right.

  • Hi blondie!

If you want favours for free, I have a plan!

  • fantastic

  • A splendid idea. One which I shall be adopting. xx

  • way cool

  • Uh..., Male helps Female damsel in distress? How very noble. I think this might have been more convincing if the chick had rescued out the stud. All men are freeconomists when it comes to helping a vulnerable female stranded on the side of the road, so nothing new here. I know this was made on the Eastonia Freestate cyclepath, but most of your viewers don't. It's all about perception.

  • All you are doing is going back to the barter & trade system.

The barter & trade system works well in small economies, but breaks down when there are too many services and too many people.

Money (in its most basic function) simplifies the system of trading by eliminating the requirement of a dual coincidence of wants.

If you were willing to go through the effort to put that video together, I'd think that you'd at the very least take the time to look up what money actually is...

  • @Stargazer7121

Real money is a life energy accounting system and only exists when economic activity takes place. Money - like energy – is forever abundant and its creation, in truth, should only be dependent on individual need and the ability to satisfy it. The banking fraternity have rather turned this principle on its head and, having monopolised the market in money creation, decreed that the fulfilment of need is dependent on their willingness to produce (or rather invent) the cash!

  • @radicalviews

Its amazing....nothing that you said acknowledges my point, and furthermore, nothing you said acknowledges that you even know the basic function of money. Pitiful.

  • @Stargazer7121

It does, I do, you don't. When spirituality becomes a part of economic practice we can all become "rich". "Money", as we have come to accept it, is nothing less than a license for the banks to manipulate the population.

  • @radicalviews

Correct. With one small clarification - fiat currency should never be considered as "money." But as a "CURRENCY" only. They simply do not fit the definition of "money."

What happened with cooperatives and community-based economies? Spirituality + Common Sense = Strong Communities. Is that possible? YES.

  • @Stargazer7121 pick one of his claims apart instead of declaring victory by fiat.

  • @Stargazer7121 barter and trade would require that she is demanded a service or good in return. that would be a step backward, yes. because a money system (minus the interference of major banks) is essentially a barter system with set values of worth. however, no trade whatsoever is something that has only been tried in small noted communities through out history, and has worked very well within those.

  • sorry wrong account for freeconomy, check out our bring and take free for all,

  • its nice to be apart of freeconomy, dont forget check out our utube vids.

  • Great video, but it does seem to need at least one more episode. I mean...if you don't get any money, then how to pay those who need/ask for money if you need their services/products?

  • Part of the name of this video is "part 1". So, (when) will there be more?

  • Oops! It actually reads "_Episode_ 1".

  • I noticed on your website you have over 4000 members, 1000 skills 17,000 tools and 1.5 shared acres of land. I guess it's hard to share if you DON'T OWN ANY. Better hope those pesky capitalist pigs who think they have a right to own what they worked hard for. Ever notice how easy it is to share when you didn't earn it?

  • Ever notice how easy it is to inherit when you didn't earn it?

  • Nope. Don't know anyone (incl. me) who inherited any land. I DO know that losers who want a handout always seem to be socialists and into "sharing". I also notice that socialists play "class warfare" at every opportunity. I had relatively little for most of my life and STILL never felt like I wanted a handout...from the government or anyone else. And no...I didn't hate or blame "rich" people.

  • @JohnLeeJohnLee I don't actually think anyone in the United Kingdom has Allodial title to property. Ultimately, it's all owned by the corporation known as The Crown.

  • More than it, it´s a brilliant idea... Join with us.

  • Great video : )
