  • yes i would definitely buy it. i have to say Ford has really stepped up.. they have some kick ass good quality cars.. I love this new Taurus, that Escape, Expedition, Explorer, Flexx is reallynice too wow.. amazing

  • damm the new taurus is hot

  • dude looks like John boy from waltons

  • The 2012 Ford Taurus will only get better. Remote keyless entry system with keypad, AdvancTrac Stability Control, illuminated entry, particulate air filtration system, and tire pressure monitoring system.

  • in my top 5 best looking cars ive seen especially when its colored black

  • we Germans laugh about your cowboy-cars

  • @wapi6 and some Germans laugh about you

  • i love this car. GO FORD !!!!

  • yo tengo uno y no sirbe para nada

  • price kills this boat. Can't compete with the Buick Lacrosse, let alone the imports...$45K will buy a LOT more car...

  • @blueskysiii Considering the base price of a taurus is 25k, and an sho model is 35k, I don't think you can get a better car with that much. This has features that aren't even available on all luxury cars. It's even got a sun shade, rear heat and cooled seats, all the info said in this video, and it looks good doing it.

  • @gunzkevin You aren't looking hard enough. If you look at the options available on the SHO, and the prices associated with each, you will learn that there are MANY cars that have offered that before, and MANY that offer all those features for less than what FORD will sell it for(with much longer warranties!). Owning a Ford was never a status symbol, and even with all the Toyota angst, Ford is still the poor man's car...ergo, $45K is ludicrous....Ford Service Dept. isn't equipped for "service".

  • @blueskysiii Ok well show me these MANY cars with as good of interior, with all the features you could get on an sho model that costs 45k. Please do. And who cares if it isn't a status symbol, not everyone has to show how much money they have.

  • @gunzkevin youtube is full of comparisons, but the one that jumps out at me is the Acura SH-AWD. Why buy a Ford when you can own a luxury car...A REAL one I mean...Ford should stick to competing with Chevy, and save themselves from the ridicule of trying to compete with real cars...I mean, let's face it. Ford 's stewardship of the Jaguar, Aston Martin, Volvo, and Land Rover brands proves that Ford and luxury just don't mix...They sold Volvo for $4B less than they paid for it in 1996.....

  • @blueskysiii All of those features I just listed, aren't available on the acura when the acura costs over 4k more.

  • @blueskysiii Ok well considering ford hasn't sold all of volvo, I would expect it to be less. Ford still owns volvo. Ok so I just built an acura on their website fully loaded and it came out to 49,490. I fully loaded a taurus sho as much as I could and it came out to 46,458. Now that is with adaptive cruise control, brake assist with collision alert, blind spot indicating system, rear heated seats, 20" rims, sirius travel link, sync, a rear sun shade, and a 390 watt 5.1 dolby audio system.

  • Nice!!! I want one!

  • I went to this show and Ford blew all other makers out of the water. I couldn't believe how many people were checking out the Taurus; people from all age groups (obviously the younger groups were checking out the SHO with its 370 hp). I've never seen this much hype for a family sedan, but you have to admit it's a nice car.

  • 365 hp and 350 pound feet of torque.

  • dude i hate that guy he always ripes on fords in these reviews

  • lol taurus, flagship car of the middle class

  • If the SHO came with a 6 speed stick, id be sold!

  • FUCK yeh. Fuck all that automatic sissy shit, why people think they're fly or why the race automatic I have no idea they're just dipshits. Str8 the fuck up, you the man !!

  • You do know that automatic is more optimal for straight away drag racing right? You upgrade not only the engine but the transmission to grab the gears at the right moment.

  • You don't touch shit in an automatic. Full throttle so so pro. l0l, that shit's funny.

  • what????

  • What ? l0l0l0l you don't even know. Fuck you and your sissy automatic.

  • On a straight away, you don't need to shift unless you're running dayatona 500 or Lemans dumbass!

I like stick to because I plan on daily driving on roads with curves. You don't need a stick on the drag strip. Tune your transmission and computer to effortlessly snatch gears at the peak of power.

  • YOU'RE the one who mentions sissy no curves sissy drag bitch shit.

I'm all for form & function. What's the point of making a ride if there weren't any corners in the world ?? You make me facepalm madly..straightaways my ass you and your sissy full throttle straightaway shit.

    DIPSHIT !!

  • I can tell by the way you type, you're not very smart. Please face palm yourself as hard as you can dumbass.

  • 0o0o0o0. You type so smart. Go fall asleep not shifting not even turning you sissy lazy dipshit. I'm all for shifts, that's fucking that.

    NOW SCRAM !! l0l0l0l.

  • I like it

  • I wil make my own car...the all new full size SNEYDER 2010

  • Nice car, but wat happent to the all American disign ?

  • @sneyder69 thats what went wrong lol

  • Frankly, I like it!

  • worst attempt to rebadge an old platform since 1985. This car is a 2005 underbosy, and STILL has molded plastic door panels..all this for $45K

  • The all-new Taurus ... GET ONE!!!!

  • I'm sorry, they could of used a hell of a lot better speaker for this...that guy was terrible. It would of been better if he were reading off a piece of paper

  • I knew it!!! They looked to Europe for the engine design. No American car gets high horse power and great gas mileage at the same time. BMW is number one at that. And BMW just introduced their AWD 700 series car. Sweet shit

  • looks like an acura in the front its a ford found on road dead gm chevy all day baby but my wife owns a 06 500 and had no problems with it

  • Wow...you contradicted yourself REALLY bad right there. I think everyone will miss the point if you had one to make...

  • You don't like the trunk? It rocks. Overall, the outside looks like a Mustang for grownups. I love it.

  • WOW! The Ford Taurus is sooo nice. I can't believe Ford and Buick. They are for sure putting their name back in the car industry for top class luxury and sports cars. The Taurus is looking fresh, and is definitely one of my top choices for a car.

  • It looks a lot better than the Focus!

  • great look, impressive but 25,000 is goone be tough on alot of familys looking for a midrange car

  • well its a fullsize luxury car. it's the midpoint between ford and lincoln. just like the toyota avalon is the midpoint between toyota and lexus and the maxima is for nissan, the midpoint between nissan and infinity. So in this category this car is fairly cheap considering the fact that those other two cars start in the 30 thousands base.

  • Very nice I am impressed. I hear it is actually the Ford 500 design but sure dpesn't look like it to me.

  • ugly!

  • I thought that they stoped making ford Taurus

  • They did, but then after a few years of production on the 500, they re-named it Taurus.

  • new ceo ended it briefly, but its back

  • new CEO brought it back, previous ended it. Thats one of the first thing Alan did, get your shit straight.

  • Thats what I meant.

  • They already exited the guy...just like they did Gresens right after he finished the Ford Flex project...Fastest way to get fired at Ford is to take on the job of Chief Design Engineer...funny how all the guys getting fired are black...What's that all about?

  • oh really ? well that's racist from ford

  • its a black thing, it has nothing to do with designing shitty cars. Oh wait, it is because they are shitty designers and its coincidence they are black. As a side note, GM's Camero was done by a black guy, and its an insanely hideous car, pos car.

  • dude shut the fuck up i dont give a shit if u r white or black. i hate chevy and the camero. stop being racist. and enjoy the video. ohhh and chevy was made BY A WHITE MAN.

  • Probably because they were stealing designs from other car companies. they steal everything else.

  • FUCK FORD NIGA GM IS DA SHIT

  • this looks like the front of an Acura and a rear of a Lincoln...

  • this or the ford taurus 2010?

  • this is the taurus

  • i know nm,

  • Honda is still the best LOL

  • You and Honda = EPIC FAILURE, good day sir.

  • I would take the Taurus over a Avalon or Maxima anyday

  • I'm sorry, but this guy is an idiot. He complains about all the good features that make this car stand out. I suppose he drives a Bangle BMW or an atrocious new Honda Accord.

This car is beautiful! Nuff said...

  • Nice looking for a Ford.

  • Thats funny how he doesn't like the forward swept trunklid, huh, wonder how much he loves the new hondouche accord coupes rear styling?

  • this car is amazing..no other car llooks like it deuscher

  • Wow that's probably the best looking car in its segment. I would buy the SHO in a heartbeat.

  • Whats up with people saying that ford is unreliable? What about Daewoo? People said that that was very unreliable, i still have mine over 150k on it and only a few parts that broke. I have pics on my myspace

  • Ford went beast mode for 2010. Did anybody see the fusion? I cant believe what im about to say but im actually thinking of geting a ford (Fusion) If of course that i check it out and it is as good as it looks

  • Less than the 2009 models, but the chrome looks gaudy compare to the European cars.

  • GMAC, the Financial arm of GM, wants another 11.5 billion to stay in business.

  • that's a pretty nice car I would actually consider driving.. just don't tell my friends I said that!

  • It took an economic meltdown for Ford to finally update an interior

  • Wonder if there will be a Mercury Sable? And this reporter is a douche.

  • nope, the Sable's getting the ax

  • Is Mercury getting the ax as well as its flagship Sable?

  • no, Mercury is staying completely intact (save for that one model). several of Mercury's models (the Milan, Mariner, and Grand Marquis, specifically) actually sell fairly well.

  • Don't hold your breathe on Mercury. All points lead to a pontiac finish for Merc...

  • That may be true but why doesnt Mercury have its own unique models they wont last long with just rebadged fords even GM make it buicks differ from chevys in styling the need to revamp Mercury fast and kill all the marketing to women.

  • by basing their cars on Fords (what may be called "brand hierarchy"), both Mercury and Lincoln save a lot of money on product development and facilities. This money that they save means they don't have to sell as many cars to be profitable. the Milan, Mariner, and Grand Marquis sell fairly well anyways (especially relative to their fairly minimal development costs).

  • At least they could make the styling differ a little look at a Buick Enclave to a GMC Acadia then Look at a Mariner to a Escape

  • NO! Thank god...If they created a Mercury or lincoln version of this thing, the MSRP would be close to $50K!

  • actually there is a Lincoln version. it's called the MKS and it came out a year ago. it's starting price is about $38,000

  • looks okay , not too bad , not too pretty

  • im not sure if i like the new body design

  • yeah me too

the front looks fine but the back looks hidious

  • It's not that bad looking.

  • they should have made the back more like the older fusions

  • That's okay...Not many cars in this price and size class will end up looking at the BACK of this car...

  • yeah

  • ford as usual is a little late with this car ,always at the back of the line

  • US Auto sales are down 40% from there high in 2007 that makes Ford right around average, decline that is. Toyota was down 36% BFD, and Chrysler 39% that's not saying much. The entire market is suffering and nobody is moving cars.

  • I dunno...Every article or news cast I've seen has already buried Chrysler, so it's hard to imagine how or why anyone would buy a Chrysler? Especially since Consumer Reports couldn't find even 1 of their cars to recommend...But yet, they still managed to have a smaller sales drop than Ford? Why is that?...IT's because Ford is still trying to get top dollar for their truly forgettable designs...You are right though..Ford is right around average..plus, Ford's warranty isn't guaranteed by UNcleSam.

  • No wonder Ford's sales slide was a negative 41% in March, with only GM doing worse. Can you believe that Chrysler had a better month than Ford. with all of their problems? 73% drop in Exploders sales and the like.43% drop in Focus (small car) sales!? Now Ford is offering what Hyundai offered 3 months ago....Way to catch up...Ford's middle mgmt retards, can't get out of the way fast enough for Alan Mulally. I foresee a hugh mgmt shakeout coming real..in DAYS...soon! bloodbath long overdue!

  • Comment removed

  • How long ago did I make the post that you are replying to? And actually, Ford's offer is better than Hyundai's although it wasn't something that Ford immediately started "right after Hyundai" as you implied. It was a month or two. So, seriously, how many people will opt for a Taurus over a Genesis Sedan V8 if the price is the same?

Also, next time you decide to call someone a moron, you might want to learn how to spell it...The insult kind of loses it's sting, when it's misspelled my a moron...

  • I would definitely opt for a Hyundai over a Ford. The Taurus are cheap to repair, but repaired often with their antique like quality - a pot-hole would probably destroy the car.

  • HAHAHAHAHHAH!!!!!!!!! you sir, are an idiot. Go check Consumer Reports or Edmunds and get back to me Mr. ignorant.

  • I've owned one up to 79k miles it was garabage, and I know about 3 other people love them, but have to put the same kinda of money in them b/c the crappy quality. If you were to look at edmunds you would see you are wrong - check '05 taurus vs '05 sonata. There is over 1 entire rating point difference, but experience is more than some rating. My sisters hyundai at 140k miles total repairs less than 2k, Taurus 2k in repairs in 10k miles from 70-80k miles

  • fugly

  • WHo wants to bet me that Ford takes their bailout money before July 4th? Anyone? ANyone..Bueller? Bueller?

  • cool.

  • What else is being made in the Chicago plant besides the Taurus? ...

  • Great design. I think all car makers are stuck in performance = max hp for 30 mpg. Mpg = is the new performance! I still get a ticket when I go over 75 so why the extra power? Give me all of this luxury at 60+ mpg with half the power. Car makers have so many great diesel powerplants in Europe. Offer 1 HO power engine and 1 efficient engine. Offer a diesel and direct electric drivetrain with no transmission and minimal rotational mass and drivetrain lag. Car editors stop whining if under 300hp

  • looks like my 08 toyota camry, I hope that ford has better quality on this model because bunch of their 08 model or older has been a P.O.S because taurus has been having bunch of problems. they blew up at 75,000 miles I hope they have better luck with this 2010 models or ford should go out of business or die because older model Found On Road Dead F.O.R.D

  • What happent to the American style....?

  • Looks like a beefed up 2009 Accord. No innovation here that's for sure.

  • you're kidding right?

  • Yeah, it looks like a 2009 Honda Accord, only kinda "FORD" looking....uhhhhhh-glee. HOw much do you think it'll cost to replace the haldex AWD clutch? Anyone brave enough to venture a guess as to what Ford's published replacement interval is, and whether it's within the basic warranty period? TIme bomb waiting to happen. $4500 repair minimum?

  • wow nice job hoping your country and citizens fail.

  • Yeah, I think it's hilarious how the UAW is taking it in the ass, after years of forcing their employers to do the same. Classic case of the prisoner's dilemma, where they both fought for their best deal without thinking of fairness, and so now they both get to go down the tubes together. The US auto worker is a scab covering the festering wound of greed that has run rampant through the US auto industry for the past 3 decades...And all you goobers VOTED FOR OBAMA! He NAILED you!!! PSYCHE!hahaha

  • yeah McCain doesn't know anything about greed...everyone needs 7 houses!

  • The US auto industry is sooo F'd up...GM announced on Saturday that they would determine the fate of Hummer by Tuesday....They couldn't even manage to do THAT! Don't you think they knew what the answer to that easy question was on Saturday? If they didn't, then they were (and yes, they are) IDIOTS to even set the Tuesday deadline. Good riddence to these morons.

  • neat.

  • Hey, McCain made his money the old-fashioned way. He married into it! Good for him. I think he hit a grand slam! Rich Girl? check! Younger than him? check! Not BONE Ugly? check! Daddy owns a BEER Distributorship? DOUBLE check! Tell me any Guy wouldn't trade places with John boy. Matbe even go through all that POW torture shit...I bet McCain is so fucking happy he lost the election that he can't stand it!

  • awesome.

  • Ford is still moving at the speed of molasses compared with new vehicle design, compared with the Asians and European brands. I just heard a Ford Exec on TV recently explain that the design window for a new car is 7 years....ONLY in the Detroit 3. Honda, Toyota, VW, and even design-heavy BMW are turning designs in 48 months. This car isn't ground breaking in even category!..SAD, and to top it off Ford wants 30 K or more for a nicely (by two year ago standards) equipped one. 45K for a loaded SHO!

  • Don't worry about giving him thumbs down...he's an asian hillbilly living in some state...Alabama maybe cant really remember...so he's biased.

  • This is a very nice car. It looks sporty yet luxurious. This changes the image of the taurus. Can't wait to see the new 365hp SHO.

  • you so funny...moran?....heehee

  • better gas milage.

  • best______car______EVER

  • listen MORAN. if you want a fuel efficent car get the 2010 fusion hybrid it has more gas milage than the camry or accord or any midsized car. and this car is fuel efficent it has a ecoboost engine. you just tottally FAILEDDDDDD right there. majorly. dork, you always argue with everyone that likes a ford. shut upp like really no onee cares or belives you.

  • 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid- look it up. 22 Hwy from a car producing almost 350 HP? Thats damn good if thats what you want. Ford has 21 MPG from the F150 which only Chevy can match. Or what about the first SUV hybrid the Ford escape?

  • Ford has a winner with the Fusion Hybrid, but there is a problem with that. They haven't ramped up to produce enough of them. They don't get the ecomonies of scale that Honda and Toyota do, and so they have to charge more for their cars...

  • fords cars arent more then toyotas..26,000 for camry hybrid and 26,000 ford fusion hybridd.

  • you can't sell enough of them to make your company profitable. It doesn't matter if they are priced right or not, if you can't produce enough to meet demand. That was my only point. I'm not gonna rehash the base price comparisons and the lack of specific features (like Traction control)....I'm only saying, Ford isn't in a position (with the Fusion Hybrid) to be ABLE to take advantage of some unexplainable shift in buyer attitude, because the just can't build enoguh of them...Period~

  • no not worried - you mus be though. for shits and giggles.

  • I hope I'm wrong, but given the weight, the Haldex kinda sorta AWD, which isn't exactly launch control, and the lack of manual xmission, I don't think this car is gonna break 6 seconds in the 0-60 test...If it does, and IF it breaks 5.4 from the BMW, then I'll take back my strong criticism of the pricing on this car...I think you are gonna be disappointed though...

  • sez who....Let's hear some performance specs...Nobody buys a BMW 5 series for the mileage.

    0-60 time

1/4 mile time and top speed

    braking distance

    lateral Gs

No one has released these specs yet, as far as I know...Be the first to enlighten us.

  • WoW! Superauctionstar, you really are living in the 80s!...RIGHT on BRO! Those were good times...DYN-o-MITE!

  • I too am very proud to be an American. However, I am NOT willing to give inept, poorly managed, American companies a free pass, and buy from them blindly, when the rest of their peers are able to work harder, and do a better job of navigating the inherent hardships of the auto industry.

If buying Union is your idea of nationalism, perhaps you should move to France. ..Faggot!

  • why? ... WHhhhYyyy -_-?

  • THIS CAR IS GORGEOUS... The fact we can still build cars like this - reliable, stylish, and well-built - is one of the 1 million reasons why I'm PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!!!

  • Consumer Reports just released their recommendations for 2009 Model Year. Ford didn't have a single car in their top 15 award categories. OVerall the Ford Brand was ranked 4th from the bottom of 15 makes of vehicles, while GM and Chrysler were both at the very bottom. ONly one US made car or truck made the top 15 spots. The Chevy Truck...Not even the F-150 made the list...Sad, but true...

  • the front looks like a subaru..

  • go to flatratetechdotyouknowwhat and look on their forums for a Question about will the big three survive?. Read what the Ford employess think about US made /Union made Ford Junk...

  • for someone in international business development, it's funny you can't spell it right. I gather you are from Canada, so I suppose I should cut you some slack.

Seriously though, at least now I can see how Ford (2 years ago during product development) might have eyed the luxury market as a growth area. The major (many others) problem is that Ford has no history of success in this market. None..Zero. Name a Ford badged luxury success story. Why they didn't at LEAST badge this Lincoln amazes me.DER

  • This guy is a moron.

  • Wall Street journal has an online site that shows cars sales...The worst category of vehicles (largest drop in y-t-y sales) industry-wide was Large cars. ..-54% sales decrease. The entire U.S. auto industry sold 5100 large cars in January. For reference, Honda sold 16,000 Civics in January. Ford seems destined to build the cars no one wants at JUST the right time...it's uncanny...

  • Gorgeous.

  • Taurus, that's a death wish waiting to be released. Taurus was a line of Ford that always broke down, period. I had one that dropped a AXoD tranny and it had less than 90k miles since new and was even maintained. Camarys can do 140k plus without ever flushing out its fluids..guys I am not dissin out on the SHO, but I'd wait a while before jumping to go buy one, just to see if it breaks any records of factory recalls. I'd rather $42k for a Genesis than cough up $15k in repairs. Just my 2 cents =)

  • really tauruses always broke down ? since when i have had 6 tauruses and not even one has had a problem over 200,000 only one lasted for 160 which is still great.

  • Considering that our neighbor had a 08 camry and the tranny was completely gone just north of 4k miles, it's all luck of the draw. My Taurus has 120k and it shifts strong and starts the first time every time. Other than a set of brakes, tires, gas and oil, it hasn't needed any major repairs.

  • i'm a chevy guy. i've never understood why people think armrys are the shit. the chevy impala (back03-05) were made to last for at least 200k+. same withe the blazer. my blazers got 120k and runs like a dream

  • you/re a retard. Taurus's have no problems rarely ever. When you buy a camry you are hurting the economy so much. You don't know shit. Learn to spell camry

  • the camery is built in the USA

  • urbrainwashed2...The Camry may be built in the USA, but it's designed and engineered in Japan...in other words it's still a Japanese car. Ford's are engineered in the USA for American roads and highways, and their MAIN HQ are here...Ford will always be American....and Toyota will always be Japanese.

  • Don't fall into the trap of thinking Korean cars used to be crap, and always will be...NOT true. They learn, and the Genesis is a perfect example. I justread that Hyundai's skunk works is putting together a Genesis with a supercharged V-8 that will deliver close to 450HP. Holy shit, if they do that there are gonna be whole lot of SHO buyers out there getting their asses handed to them ASIA-Style!!!Like I said b4..tip of the iceberg. China is coming and they are coming STRONG!

  • but I will always take a toyota over a ford anyday

  • rotorman13b...Taurus was the best selling car in America for a long time. How is that a death wish?

Only an idiot would drive a car for a 140k without changing the fluids. Toyota quality is falling, that's a fact. American car co. will catch them and pass them in the near future. Hopefully the japs will back their bags and go home. Since you're talking about Fords past. do you think Genesis will hold up. haha. Look at past Korean car quality. If you think Ford is bad, the Koreans are much worst.

  • Did I just read you correctly? You are hoping that the Japs will pack their bags and go home?...oh yeah, THATs gonna happen...The Genesis is justthe tip of the iceberg. THat Company (Hyundai) has their shit together, and don't you think otherwise...Not for a minute. China is right behind them and they KNOW it...The Genesis is a great example of pricing forward to capture market. It's flat out the best car deal in 20 years. Honestly. Until China arrives, there will be no better deal $ for $!!!

  • looks great, good for Ford.

  • Magnificence in motion @ 1:04.... God I love this design!

  • Best looking car in it's class without a doubt!!

  • Now they are actually copying european style... looks better... but what the f with back tail light?

  • WOW is that a Taurus looks freaking awesome

  • Loyal Honda fan here, but I agree that the Hyundai Genesis is a solid contender, especially with their creative buy-back program, should I lose my job...I'm going to test drive one this weekend.

  • Wow. That interior looks almost Passat-like. Very impressive, Ford. Can't wait to check this out at the Chicago Autoshow and see if it really is as high-quality as they say. Exterior looks nice too. I'd buy one if I needed something that huge.

  • omg ford they got to put a v8 in there same with the mks
