I've been thinking of getting a didgeridoo. How exactly could you tell that the didgeridoo you bought on ebay was good or not? I saw a couple, but the cheap ones don't come with a descriptive summary and it makes me uneasy. Tips of buying?

I saw the your first day video with the pvc pipe. Is it a lot easier to to play one that is made of wood? And as far as sound quality, which do you think is better?
Also, how much did you pay for this one? I've looked around and found some for pretty cheap [on ebay].

I think it's easier to play a wooden one with a wax mouthpiece, but the reason I started with PVC was to start out with a very cheap one and then, depending on how I liked it, decide whether or not to purchase a wooden one. I got my teakwood one on eBay for about 30 dollars. I would definitely say wood has better sound quality, but PVC has a bit more of a synthetic sound to it, if that's what you're looking for. It's harder to hear it on the vid than in real life but it's there.

Oh, and if you really want to play PVC, I'd suggest buying a professionally constructed/crafted one rather than some cheap piping.
