he should have been coming at that drop off straighter than he was. Dropping one tire off is a bad way to go, and the spotter should have told him how far down it was.

Yes to BMRA in Gilmer, but it's not dewoody. I forget the name of the trail, but it's farther south and west of dewoody. Might be sunday cruise, can't remember. This is the drop in, and 100 feet down trail you straddle a wash for a ways.
