Incredible violin sequence at 0:35. Sheer terror! Steven Spielberg was in London last week promoting War Horse and they showed Jaws on ITV 1, a main UK channel, prime time Friday night.I think the older Jaws gets the more respect its getting coz after 30 years the're beginning to realize they can't top it.
I think it was Chrissie's death that was the most horrifying..really, seeing her get mauled by an unknown force, screaming "It hurts, it hurts!" Over and over..
I think what really sent the chills down my back was when she shouted "God please help!" Really loud before being pulled down to her death..
@soullessSiIence I'm hoping that this is sarcasm, because it seems to me that to pass off one's opinion like this as fact is both arrogant and shallow. How can you possibly know the best way to express another person's emotion? Please, ask yourself if it is fair to dismiss the artistic worth of something simply because you don't like it.
This the album version version of the track which is a lot scarier and more violent, mainly because of the loud hard "BING, BING, BING" you hear at 1:05-1:12. You don't hear that in the film or the 20th anniversery edition which the music straight from the film.
It's probley better that way cause when you're just listening to the music it helps if the music wa a bit more intense on the soundtrack album than the movie, while the movie itself provides the intensity, the music would be less.
finally, the real music to it/hear the harp?/now if i could see the medical inspector scene without alteration/thanks for posting the music/john williams is very gifted

Chrissy made a number of mistakes:
1. Swimming at dusk
2. Swimming alone
3. Swimming out too far
4. It is possible that the vibrations of her movements reached Jaws, too.
So, sea swimmers...learn from her mistakes. Oh...and don't swim at night or dawn, either.

@menslady125 I think the only mistake Chrissie made was being in a thriller/horror movie...

Orchestrated music is the pures form of expression and the best way to show emotions. That's why I hate pop/radio music. Stupid hollow "artists".

@soullessSiIence Alright, you're clearly trolling. Forget I ever said anything, as your credibility and mine have now been chucked out the window.

jaws was rated PG. the PG-13 rating did not exist at the time of the movie's release.

TheDarthPineapple 8 months ago
@TheDarthPineapple if you have direct tv it considers it a horror
Peterson9473 7 months ago
@Peterson9473 well, so does every other tv company, but hey, it's better for bright house calling jaws a horror than calling looney tunes a drama.
(they actually did classify looney tunes as a drama ;D)
