I've had this board for about 18 months, It's very stable. Overclocks very well with the qaud core cpu I'm using. This board is not realy set up for two video cards. I have one nvidia 8800GTS. Works great. I gave my wife my old abit IC-7 MB. That thing still kiks butt! I will miss ABIT MBs. I'm looking to do a new build soon, i think I'm looking at EVGA.
Wow your rig is just like mine. And this board is extremely stable and has lasted me over 2 years. The only problem is you cant use PCI-E 2.0 video cards. So your sort of capped at the 8800gts generation of video cards. But I'm still using mine and it runs all the newer games on medium settings give or take.
I was wondering does the Abit IP35 Pro support crossfire or sli support? Some people ive emailed says it has but then its not mentioned in this video or on the box i was told.
Good board but anyone had any issue with IP35 PRO and no video on boot (dont see post screen)? Once in windows is fine. I know somone else who has this issues with diffo gfx card. Board runs latest bios and is rec 1.1
This motherboard is really good, I got it. The BIOS is really is to use and it runs very stable. It is quite cheap but good, if you need a good motherboard (for a Quadcore CPU!?) then buy this one!
Capicators do voltage regulation, and if you get alot of cheap ones and load them extremely high or in a hot environ say you have some rated at 50C and its running at 70C its going to be shortening its life and explode, or type of debris usually solid state are high aluminum
Loved the review Logan only 1 thing to point out. The heatsink pulls heat off of the Northbridge shipset not the processor but other than that very informative nd not a bad board, im deafinalty looking at getting 1 when i build my monster rig next month.
I was pondering why he said that as well. I love the cooling method and the fact that ABIT pioneered the passive heat pipe system and that they are still one of the smarter ones to port the heat out the I/0 plate in the back because it becomes stagnant otherwise.
whats weird is that he visually moved his hands as if it really pulled heat from the procvessor thats why i had to say something because that was just weird to me. But its all good.
The Asus P5N's, especially the P5N-E are based off the 650i chipset. Great boards, great overclocking, great price. Although, I would say if you're going SLI you should have more than 100 dollars to spend on a motherboard.
More motherboard tests! Can you blug them in some std. system and really test them? And we want to see tests of prosessors, sockets, coolers, and similar. Heat problems are most common today!
My last board was very "reliable"... the cooler jumbed out of the !!plastic!! holder (due to heat changes).. the holder was too small and made of plastic :D
can you fit a gtx 580 on this thing

I've got an Abit IP43 Motherboard. I still can't fully determine whether my PCI-E X16 slot is 2.0 so it can support the new 5800 series. Help?

I have this board and it kicks ass! just wish it had one more pci-e slot .

it supports crossfire

But crossfires not great because one PCIE slot is 16x and the other is 4x so performance isnt going to be great in crossfire

That must be a proto-type, Because the sata connectors on my IP35 Pro are on the side of the mobo.
