Yeah, no kidding. That music was new to everybody that day. The "drum break" went through numerous changes and that was the one that ended up sticking. I personally was not too fond of it. I fast forward past it on the DVD/recording whenever it plays hah
You guys are incredibly lucky to have drums that well. The ones at our school are stuck together with duck tape in a few places, but they still play as well as yours. Amazing job.
Ahhh fun stuff :) Man I miss the days of playing that kinda stuff. We never had a good solid drumline like you guys though. I was at a crappy little 2A school. This vid looks like fun :)
yea these kids are only 2a too. this is actually pretty dirty though... i never did get one of them playing in the finals lot. (it was a whole lot better) in any respect, they ended up with 7th on the atlantic coset, so not to shabby
Nice... our band program could hardly scrape up enough people to join at all. Half of the drumline at my school was actually people taken off other instruments because we didn't have enough people, and they didn't know what was going on haha. I pretty much had to carry the whole section by myself, and it would take me a whole season just to teach them a basic cadence. That's why I play drumset now so I can rely on myself, but I still miss playing drumline type stuff.
