i would pay up to 5000 for one like that with fully working cameras is pilot seat and air sift bb cannon along with 8 mini hydra rockets with foam war heads or custom warheads that could put stink bomb juice in epic please email me if you want to work on one or help design it and i mean full camera system so i can sit in side with it flying around up to maybe 1 mile away with full cameras even mini FLIR or at least dvo on the cannon with auto hover able to be controlled by xbox controller
@ronatoju Nope, just learned on little helis and worked my way up. I'm quite a bad pilot, best I can manage is figure 8's and hovering (while NOT pointed at me lol :) ). Just looked up those auto pilots, that would've made things a MILLION times easier!
Really nice effort. Did you make it yourself or does it come in a kit? I've seen some schweeeeeet Apache canos for the Rex 500 but they come in balsa flat panels and one crash and it's all over. Same with this I guess but that 500 cano looked like it'd take 15 hours to assemble and paint correctly.
@sparkydaskworl Its the Raidentech kit. It is pretty crash resistant, just found that out. Tail rotor belt came loose about 10' off the sidewalk so I cut power and let the rapidly spinning thing pancake onto the sidewak. Collapsed the gear, but stayed upright and saved the blades! :) Body flexed off the mounts, but no damage to it. Was airborn 2 hours later all repaired :)
@mdbuehler Well, looks like I'm investing in a Raidentech kit. It really is a beautiful cano (and nice smooth flying as well), and I don't often comment so I dunno, feel privileged or something. : )
I just feel as though the 3D smackdown... meh. Seen it all before. Oh,so this mindblowing routine is pro A. Kinda seems like pro B. But I love flying craft of all descriptions so I'll take your B400 (UPGRADE, dammit!) cano over some generic 3D routine any old tick of the clock. Good luck.
How does the fuselage affect 3D flight? It looks realy nice. I'm thinking about getting one for my B-400 but I still want to fly 3D. It would be cool to see an Apache doing flips eh? :-)
I never got up the nerve to go 3d, so couldn't say :) I'm happy just zooming around the airfield. I imagine it will affect the handling a bit as it does at some weight, and it will catch more wind as there is a lot more surface area now.
How much weight does it add? It can't be more than a few ounces. You can easily counteract that with the right throttle/pitch curves in your idle-up mode on your TX. I would even suggest carbon paddles and some radix 325 main blades for that extra pop. I'll tell you now it is quite a sense of accomplishment the first time you put the skids to the sky. I would also suggest spending some time on a sim doing 3d first. It did worlds for me! Good luck with it man! So where did you get the kit?
Google for "raidentech apache fuselage" and it'll be the first hit. It comes with the winglets, but not the wheels. The wheels are just foamies from the hobby store on a CF axle run through one of the landing strut braces.
That's a great looking fuse. Does it come with the wheels and stubwings?? Website pics are pretty vague. Was it hard to fit? Wouldn't mind putting one on my Trex 450..
Eyesight not being what it used to be, winter camo was actually best, because it DIDN'T work :) Don't think I've seen a single apache that wasn't green.
They need to improve there google ranking, just found them on page four :) May model the Blackhawk body after theirs, that color is light enough (that or coast guard, hmmm...) Thanks!

how to u get the battery in and out every time its ready for a charge or ready to fly?
nascarfan383 2 years ago
The nose from the wheels forward is held on by two little velcro patches, so it pulls right off with little effort

+1 on maxih2006's question, does it come with the wheels and wings? If not, where did you get them?
