My old sister Yemenashu used to crank this on a big stereo ..now I know she had a big crush on some dude prbly from Mekdela Yemengist Temhiret bet haha. Sar Bet/ Gabriel we in the building baby!
She always great, "Aster Kebede" i've seen her interview when she got back Addis after ages, i love her all songs. "ye'high school, life, friendoch, yasetwesegnal"
lol jonrta ,,,,,,,habasha will came up with name all the time anyhow did u know that the name "faranj" came from foriegn they couldnt say"foriyen" omg habesha anyhow she is one of the best singer even this dayz we isten to her generation of 3rd father lol she was good no politics onyl promoting love i cn call her ethiopian but the rest of habasha singers anyhow there is no habasha singers either they are oromo or gurage or tigrea some of them but amhara little she is not
Ahh! this reminds me of so much of my childhood. The hair style she has used to be called "Jontra." Most younger girls and gals had it and I remember somehow the guys used to wear scarves, with mafaqeya in their mouth. It was a complete fashion statement back then. This was probably in 85-88. Different times, different places, different winds.
Do you know the name "jontra" came from Actor John Travolta? I used to have that hair style as well in the late 80s in GC. After Jontra then it was punk hair style and so on.....the good old days. lol
I just bought her zefen last year. But I couldn't find 'engedih jemereng, mewoded jemerenge; engidih jemereng, mafekere jemerenge' in it. Total let down, if I may so.
I don't know if it is true but when I was a kid someone told me that Neway Debebe had a crush on her. Is anybody know if that is true? If it is true then I don't blame him because she is beautiful.
this is real talent; speaking of talent... can we imagin how far we came in this instrurmental technology...WOW... anyway thank you for posting "DireTubeHQ"
