Salah on the other hand is probably the best in entertaining and crowd pleasing. Hes very good with his techniques however not on par with poppin john. i dont have any room to talk, but i think popping is the same as playing an instrument. the difference between a good drummer & a great drummer is someone who can hold a different beat with each hand and foot, and still make it flow together.

My only criticism of popping John is that he is not diverse enough in his funkstyle dance in terms of being able to incorporate the styles that show more movement and transitions and even funk like the boogallo style and the popping style which for instance sugarpop has perfected. To me popping john doesn't move enough, he is a bit static which incredibly suits his style of popping but if he without a doubt will be the best he needs to incorporate more complex movements to add to his style.
Your wrong the style Poppin John has accomplished is alot harder than the funk style.........Poppin John has deliberately distinguished himself from eliminating Boogaloo from his dace repitoire because he doesnt like it (and probably doesnt wanna look like the thousands of other dancers tht do tht style) If you look at his earlier vids like 2006 early 2007 he incorporated alot of floor movements transitions and boogaloo!!! Personally i think the boogaloo style is easier to learn!!!

u cn be taught how to hit....its up to u on hw u want to hit the beat....there are multiple ways to hit a beat u jus hav to figure out where and when u want to hit it...there are multiple beats in a single music track and not jus the beats bt diff sounds as well that u can manipulate wit hits or waves or w/e u like to do

Well to put it simply hittin is the tensing and relaxing of ur muscles...fresno is the most basic way to prac ur hittin....it jus takes constant repetition and prac to get ur hits rt....try flexin ur arms to a certain kind of beat and jus "hit"....prac in a mirror and see hw ur body moves and make the hits sharper and harder...constant prac bro

u cn be taught how to hit....its up to u on hw u want to hit the beat....there are multiple ways to hit a beat u jus hav to figure out where and when u want to hit it...there are multiple beats in a single music track and not jus the beats bt diff sounds as well that u can manipulate wit hits or waves or w/e u like to do

Well to put it simply hittin is the tensing and relaxing of ur muscles...fresno is the most basic way to prac ur hittin....it jus takes constant repetition and prac to get ur hits rt....try flexin ur arms to a certain kind of beat and jus "hit"....prac in a mirror and see hw ur body moves and make the hits sharper and harder...constant prac bro

Everyone can be taught poppin but the people who turn out to be great are those who practice well enough to realise their own style! Poppin John is one of those guys but some stuff probably does come naturual!

i agree. All the poppers you named are very good especially slim boogie and frantick. Those two cats are amazing. Popping John is good but he ain't the best. There's no such thing as The Best Popper. There's always someone better.
