whats the differnce between british o scale and american o scale?

@mastertrain9264 British O scale is the correct scale for the guage of the track, (1/43.5) whereas O guage in the USA is not, it is slightly too small for the gauge of the track (1/48).

@mongoosekid14 it's a skate to pick up power, the guy who built the layout decided to make it stud contact rather than 2 rail pick-up.
